Most Helpful Positive Review In love
I finally bought this dryer after months of reading the reviews and justifying the cost. I have long thick hair that takes forever to blow dry and straighten. I dread the process!!
I used this blow dryer for the first time this morning and loved it!! It dried my hair evenly & quickly. My hair was not a massive frizzy mess once it was dry. I would invest in this product and the product line again and again.
Note: So the ulta store in my area has 20% off coupon out right now, hence why I bought it now. I went to check out and the clerk told me it was not good on Dry Bar brand. I was bummed but wanted it anyways. As she rang me up I mentioned that I had seen on the online reviews that people had used this coupon. Well sure enough she did a price check and scanned the coupon and it worked! We had to void and redo the transaction which saved me $50! So don't be afraid to ask them to try the coupon 😉.
Most Helpful Critical Review Regretful purchase
I purchased based on such great reviews. I hated the color but decided I could live with it if I loved it. I was surprised at how heavy the dryer was, especially with the attachment on. The cool shot bottom was not easy to press or use and the buttons were in an awkward place on the handle. I kept turning the dryer off accidentally. Also, the cool shot button was not cool enough for me. The filter cover was hard to take off. It didn't dry my hair any faster than my old 1875 watt Revlon which I had for 5 years. I have overprocessed, coarse but thinning hair. If my hair were healthier this may have given me better results. I only noticed a slight difference overall but not enough to keep it. I tried it twice before returning it. It's just too pricey to justify keeping it. I believe with the right drying techniques such as using a roundbrush and the right products like Kenra's blowout spray, you can achieve great results with most any hairdryer without spending a lot of money.

I was very excited to purchase this hair dryer based on reviews. Unfortunately it is not meant for fine hair. Since using this my hair started breaking. I was also using it for my daughter and her hair broke as well.

I bought this blow dryer Christmas 2017 and it's the only hair tool that has lasted. Flat irons, brushes, more scrunchies than you can imagine, all bit the dust, but my buttercup is still going strong. I'm not an everyday blow kind of girl, more like 1-3 per month, so that may be the secret, but in any case, this gives me the sleekest, fastest blow dry every single time. The only thing I would want is a longer cord, but that's much more to do with my house than the dryer
It's a very powerful hair dyer

I have thin curly hair, and I bought this because my hair takes ages to dry in the winter. This hair dryer with the diffuser attachment does a great job at drying out my hair in the cold setting without burning or damaging my hair!
I will always buy DryBar products

I love the DryBar products. My hair is long and thick. It can take up to 30 minutes to blow dry my hair. It takes about 15 minutes with this dryer and is still smooth and not frizzy. Highly recommend.
Only lasted 1 year.

It stopped blowing HOT AIR. I took very good care of it and I don't know what could possibly be wrong.
I called Drybar about warranty and they said since I didn't buy it directly from Drybar, they could not fix it or send a new one under warranty. I will NEVER buy dry bar again.

Works well but is heavier than I thought it would be
THICK HAIR...Drybar to the rescue!
Meg from Birmingham, AL
I have had my drybar hair brush for almost 4 years and it is still amazing! I have extremely thick and frizzy hair and sometimes after blow drying my hair, I wont even have to straighten it. I love the way this works with my thick head of hair. It is definitely worth the price. I also do have the drybar straightener and a few of the hair products and they work just as well! Hats off to you - Drybar!

My experience has been you gotta pay more for a good dryer. The force of the blow is strong so I can use a flat brush or a wet brush to dry. Since I don't have the hand eye coordination to round brush blow dry my hair. I have mix coarse and fine hair. I normally go over my hair with a straightener following.
Died Exactly 2 Years Later

Purchased this blow dryer in June 2018 because I was tired of spending $50-$75 ever year or so for a new blow dryer. I used it maybe twice a week for about a year. Then my son was born last year and I barely had time to shower, let alone blow dry my hair, so it's been used maybe 2 times a month for the past year. It started blowing only cold air almost exactly 2 years to the day I brought it home. So bummed because when it worked, it was the best blow dryer I've ever used. I won't be buying again.

I only used it maybe 10 times and it started making a very loud squealing noise.
Don't buy this dryer. Will stop working. JUNK!

Ulta will not return this expensive product and says to call DryBar directly. So many people waste their money on this blow dryer. Ulta said too bad for you work with Dry Bar directly.
I wouldn't buy this one without registering for the warranty

I loved this hair dryer until it died after one year. The lo speed button stopped working and the heat at the high
level isn't as hot.
Only used it 3x but I'm in LOVE

I've always owned dryers like conair, revlon and hot tools and they've always made my hair feel really dry and frizzy so I never really used them all that much.
This dryer makes my hair feel soft and shiny and I love it! My hair is pretty thick and it cuts my dry time WAY down and it doesn't burn my scalp. I would have never spent more than $100 on a dryer but I figured I'd learn a new skill during quarantine and I've always wanted to master the perfect at home blow out. From my experience, drybar has always made incredible styling products and this blow dryer is amazing.

I was very disappointed in the quality of this product.
After two uses, a fuse blew within the hairdryer rendering it useless. This is a common issue that I've observed within other buyers' reviews, as well.
When it was working, the dryer was powerful and provides a quick drying time. Surprisingly, my hair was more frizzy following use of this dryer than with my previous Conair; however, the process using the Buttercup was quicker. The cold setting is very cold, which was great for my curls, but again, I was only able to use this product twice; therefore, my observation is limited.

I got this dryer for Christmas it's so amazing it leaves my hair so smooth
Happy Customer from State College
I'll start off by saying I've only used this blow dryer once so far but I'm definitely impressed with how quickly it dries my hair (I also use a comb attachment). I'm a black woman with permed hair so I've been trying to limit how much heat I have to use on my hair since it's already going through a lot of damage. Compared to my old blow dryer, this one has a heavier flow of air and I felt like it used less heat to dry my hair. Whenever I aimed the blow dryer at my roots I feel like the air spread through a larger area of my head compared to my old blow dryer.
Best out there

I bought this after having my previous blow dryer for about 5 years. When I used this for the first time, I seen and felt a difference in my hair immediately. It's was shiner and softer. I told my mom and she ended up buying one for herself too and she also loved it. Two very happy customers!
NEVER BUYING THIS PRICY PRODUCT AGAIN!
Yani from Chicago, IL
Very disappointed at the qualify of this pricy blow dryer in 2 years I went through 2 blow dryers. I had never experienced this with any other brand name blow dryers. When I first purchased it in exactly a month it would only blow cold air, still had the warranty. I had to go through the inconvenience of being without the blow dryer for a little over a week. Had to go to the postal office to return my defective blow dryer and when they received mine they shipped me another one. AGAIN, another year later this blow dryer only started blowing cold air! I was not going to go through the same process, not worth it. The blow dryer is not even that great for the money paid. I know of other brands who last years and control the fizziness in your hair. Besides the customer service agent did not answer my question in regards to this product that stops working after a year. Don't waste your money on this product when you can purchase a better blow dryer at a more reasonable or affordable price.
My new fav!!

I knew I wanted this when it came time for a new blow dryer! And I'm so happy with it, I've had it for 3 weeks and my hair looks healthy, gives me good volume.. the heat levels are great!
Hideous color but AMAZING dryer!
Horsegirl from Dallas
I have had three of these in seven years! It's a very moisturizing hairdryer that leaves your hair styled perfectly shiny and nourished! I know this because I've strayed a timer or two and my hair starts to dry out with other dryers! I have always hated the color of this blow dryer it looks cheap but the quality is worth every penny. It also lasts twice as long as other dryers!'n

One of the best blow-driers on the market. I worked at DryBar over 6 years ago now and I still swear by this blow drier. I use it on myself and my clientele. You won't regret it.
ONLY LASTED 13 MONTHS
Cheryl from Delaware
I really LOVED this hair dryer. Unfortunately, it does not work after only 13 months. Got it last year for xmas (2018). Went to use it today (Jan. 2020) and it does not work. Sad, what a waste of money. It was very expensive and thought it would last a very long time.
Wish you didn't have to hold the cold air button
Erza from College of Mages, Winterhold, Skyrim
Tbh i wish the cold setting can be a button you press and cold air comes out. not one you have to hold :/ I practice the CG method so i can not use heat or it will damage my curls. I also bought the diffuser and it works pretty good, but my hand cramps holding down on the cold button so i taped it
Great blow dryer
