Disappointing

By JM

from VA

Comments about dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Scalp Scrub With Pink Himalayan Sea Salt:

I was hoping this would work, but maybe my hair is too thick or something. I can barely get it down to my scalp, even when I part my hair and apply it directly to the parts. I've been using it regularly and don't notice any change other than the lingering smell of vinegar (not awesome). It kind of makes my hair softer initially but that's the only positive thing I can say about it.

Comments about dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Scalp Scrub With Pink Himalayan Sea Salt:

I bought this as an add on for my FabFitFun. I always suffered from dry scalp and it seems like nothing worked for it, nizoral, Head and shoulders, etc. I tried this product and it worked after one use. I notice that there is significantly less flakes and my hair felt softer. I only used a little bit on the tips of my fingers and scrubbed it really good into the scalp concentrating on the itchy areas. The smell is terrible at first but I got used to it. You only need to use a tiny bit at a time I think if you use too much it can irritate the scalp more and waste product. Just put on tips of fingers and scrub them into the scalp.

So disappointed

By Girlthatwearsglasses

Comments about dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Scalp Scrub With Pink Himalayan Sea Salt:

Lately my dandruff has been out of control. Large flakes and itchy scalp. After reading the reviews I went immediately to Ulta and picked up this and the rinse. But
It did nothing to help my scalp. Still itchy and problematic after 2 uses. I maybe could have kept trying it but it was so expensive I did not want to waste my time.

Comments about dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Scalp Scrub With Pink Himalayan Sea Salt:

I've always had dry and flaky scalp problems. It has recently been the worst its ever been for the last week or two. So bad, that it literally looked like I was my own personal snow machine every time I scratched my head. Also, my black swivel chair at work always had flakes all over it at the end of the day.

I did a bit of quick research and found that I may need to try something exfoliating. I made my way to Ulta, and brought home the dp hue ACV Srub, Rinse, and deep conditioner.
First wash = snowflakes and itch completely gone.

The products definitely carry the scent of apple cider vinegar, but I quickly got over that. The exfoliating feeling of the scrub was very refreshing, and was easy to wash out.

I have moderate to severe psoriasis on my scalp and i have been having flare up issues that have cause lots of flakes and redness. After only one use with this scrub I had a dramatic reduction in flakes and my redness is down as well! I plan on using this 1-2 times a week to help with these issues.

The product can tangle hair as it is scrubbed in but I found that my regular conditioner was able to get the tangles out no problem.

I have a touch of sebhorreic dermatitis, and this product soothed the redness, and the flaking is gone. And I just used it for the first time today. Scrunched it onto my scalp, shampooed and then voila. Highly recommend.

      works amazing but...

      By Haleigh

      from Denver, co

Comments about dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Scalp Scrub With Pink Himalayan Sea Salt:

So I've tried so many scalp scrubs trying to get my scalp healthy from the day to day build up( skin, product, general everyday pollution). I've had one other one that's amazing but double the price for a smaller jar. this stuff does just as good of a job cleansing my scalp without gouging my wallet. the only reason I did 4 stars instead of 5 is the smell. It's absolutely horrible, but if you use this first and then shampoo it's fine and gets rid of that awful smell.

I have a dry, flaky scalp and this product has worked wonders in solving that problem in only two uses. A lot of people have complained about the smell, but I don't think it's very noticeable. I am going to use this product once or twice a week. It's a bit pricey, but in my opinion very worth it.

Comments about dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Scalp Scrub With Pink Himalayan Sea Salt:

I decided to get this product as an add on to my FabFitFun box as I was looking for some sort of scalp treatment. After purchasing, I read the reviews on Ulta and was super nervous after reading the negative reviews here. Ive struggled with dandruff my entire life and as of late my scalp has gotten much worse so I tried it, regardless of the reviews. As soon as I got out of that first shower there was an IMMEDIATE difference!! From brushing to blow drying I was always covered in dandruff and when I scratched it would be under my nails. Blow dryed my hair after that first use and there was NO dandruff on my shoulders and none under my nails. I'm blown away by this product. Yes, the smell is horrible and that was why I gave it four stars but I think you just need to figure out your own routine. I shampoo, use this treatment, then condition and I rarely got a scent of the apple cider vinegar. It's pricey but definitely worth trying it. Ulta has a great return policy if it just doesn't work out for you but this is now a staple in my shower. Im super grateful that I found this product.

I bought this today in store and just used it.
It literally left my hair squeaky clean! I did have tingling on my scalp where my scalp was dry (along hairline). But nothing painful!
I did not shampoo afterwards. I just rinsed product out well and used my usual It's a 10 conditioner. After styling as usual, my scalp and hair felt light, airy, smooth, and clean!
Some people have complained about the smell. Hello! It has vinegar in it! I did not find the smell that offensive! I definitely recommend this product!

Hi Nellie! The best way to apply is to put the product in your hands, rub your hands together to cover your palms and fingers, and massage through the scalp. You can also pull up the top half of your hair (like you're putting in a half ponytail) and apply some directly to the back of your head to ensure you're getting that area. Hope this helps!
