Comments about Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser:

After 2 weeks of using this product my dark marks or hyper pigmentation is drying out and shedding! Which for me is great because once it sheds away it's almost completely gone. Since I have oily skin I have been using this every day night and morning and it has dried my face out so now I can use a basic moisturizer without worrying about my forehead looking like a lightbulb.

Comments about Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser:

Both myself and teen son use this cleanser for deep cleansing. For my combination skin it is to drying for daily use. For his acne prone skin it would probably be great if he remembered to use it everyday. It leaves my skin feeling deeply cleansed. But I can't report any long term, visible improvements to my skin from using it. I think the value is good for the ingredients.

                    • Brand Expert

                      A:

The Glycolic Foaming Cleanser should not make your skin peel. This products contains Glycolic Acid which helps to gently exfoliate and deep clean build up from the skin's surface. I would recommend using the product 1-3 times a week, while alternating with a daily cleanser, such as our best-selling Enzyme Cleansing Gel (http://www.ulta.com/enzyme-cleansing-gel?productId=xlsImpprod6200755).
If peeling or irritation occurs, please discontinue use immediately.

We would recommend consulting with your dermatologist prior to starting any new products.. Depending on your skin type, the glycolic acid may not agree with the Retin A. Our Enzyme Cleansing Gel may be a better option. http://www.ulta.com/enzyme-cleansing-gel?productId=xlsImpprod6200755

I have eczema and really really dry sensitive skin but I do have hyperpigmentation as well as fine lines and wrinkles. Is this a recommended or good product for me? I also want a product that will cleanse my skin as well.

                      A:

The glycolic acid in this cleanser may not agree with your eczema and sensitive skin. If you have been able to use products with glycolic acid in the past, then we would suggest introducing this cleanser into your skin care routine 1-2 times a week. You might want to consider our Whitening Mask. It is recommended for all skin types and is gentle and hydrating. http://www.ulta.com/whitening-mask?productId=xlsImpprod6200747

We would recommend spot testing a small patch of skin to determine your skin's tolerance - especially if you are using both the Glycolic Foaming Cleanser and the Gylcolic Acid Toner.

Glycolic Foaming Cleanser is formulated with Glycolic Acid to deep clean and break down makeup, oil, and other impurities. We do not recommend usage around the eye area so you should use a separate product to remove eye makeup.

Also does this cause the skin to peel like how the retin A does?

                      A:

The Glycolic Foaming Cleanser is best used 2-3 times a week, depending on your skin type. If you have an oilier skin type, that may allow the use of salicylic acid on those off days. Sensitive skin types should opt for a more basic cleanser on the off days.
