Holy grail

By Mommyritz

from The sunshine state

Comments about Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm:

This has quickly become a holy grail product. At first I hated the feel of this on my skin. But it washes of every trace of make up; mascara, full coverage foundation etc.. and does so without stripping my skin or drying it out or leaving it greasy. I swear by this and just purchase my 3rd tub! It's a must!

Not for me

Comments about Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm:

I don't consider myself to have sensitive skin or eyes, but every time I remove my eye makeup with this my eyes burn. It removes the makeup well but I just can't get past the irritation it does to my eyes. Coconut oil has never done that to me so I'll stick with that.

      Love this Stuff

      By Perinnial

      from Houston

Comments about Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm:

I've already used an entire jar and a half of another jar. Something to know when buying this though - it is oily, it is heavy duty cleaning. You have to wash your face after you rinse this off or you'll probably break out if you have sensitive skin issues. But even with makeup wipes, you should be washing your face after, to make sure it's all gone. This stuff is FANTASTIC for taking makeup off and I highly recommend it, as long as you're smart and realize that it's got oil in it just like most makeup removers.

      By Lyndsay H

      from Indianapolis, IN

Comments about Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm:

I have rosacea and so many skin problems that finding any cleanser that doesn't hurt my skin is always a win. This is my favorite, sensitive skin friendly, oil based makeup remover. It feels great on my skin and makes my skin oh so smooth!

      Good but caused breakouts

      By Anj

      from Atlanta, Georgia

Comments about Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm:

I actually purchased mine a few months ago and I fell in absolute love with it although throughout the weeks I started noticing little bumps around my right cheek and forehead and jawline. I thought it was just my acne flaring up again but I decided to stop using the balm and go back to just a regular wipe. My skin got a lot better and then I went back to the balm. Currently I have many tiny bumps on my face it has been 1 month and a half and my right cheek still has unlimited bumps and scars. I love how this product completely took my makeup off but it caused many many breakouts.

Effective but harsh on my eyes

Comments about Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm:

The girl I always talk to at Ulta gave me this as a sample because I went in to buy the Julep Love Your Bare Face cleansing oil, but they were out. I gave it 3 stars because it was really effective and did take all my make up off, but for some reason, it made my eyes extremely blurry! The blurriness didn't go away for a couple of minutes no matter how much water I used to wash my eyes out. I thought maybe it was just a one time thing, so I used it a second time, and it happened again. I've never had this happen with any other make up remover, so I don't think I'll be buying the full product. I have very sensitive, oily skin, and I didn't notice any irritations other than my eyes.

Basically coconut oil but w/ pain

          By Kelsey

          from Minnesota

Comments about Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm:

this stuff is essentially coconut oil that feels more silicone-ish and burns your eyes if it geting in them (which happens very easily when you're removing eye make up with it), save your money and just buy coconut oil.

Hi! Clinique uses the term "non-acnegenic." If a product is non-acnegenic, it has undergone clinical testing by a board-certified dermatologist and was determined not to increase the number of or worsen acne lesions. Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm is non-acnegenic.
