Not Your Mothers Way To Grow is the way to go!!

I've been using the Not Your Mother's Way to Grow shampoo and conditioner system for 3 weeks now. I have replaced my other haircare products, and exclusively used this product to wash and condition my hair since receiving it in order to give an honest review (I wash/condition my hair 3-4 times a we...ek). Before I even put this on my hair I loved the fact that Not Your Mother's is made in the USA, cruelty free, and contains no "icky" ingredients (it's free of sulfate surfactants, dyes, and parabens). While I can't say I've noticed any hair growth in the short amount of time I've been using the Way to Grow products, it has noticeably improved my hair's quality. My biggest hair concerns are that my wavy hair has a lot of frizz, static, and dryness. The first time using this I noticed an immediate improvement! My hair felt noticably soft, silky, hydrated and smooth without using any other styling products and only towel drying (it looked so good that even my husband commented on it)!! I've found other hydrating conditioners are very heavy and take the wave out of my hair or leave it feeling oily, but I have not had that problem with the Not Your Mothers Way to Grow conditioner, my hair feels hydrated, smooth, and clean even when I skip a day of washing. While the conditioner has slightly different directions then what I was used to (apply conditioner then massage into scalp for 2-3 min) I was able to easily add it to my nighttime shower routine and the added scalp massage has become a nice relaxing part of my self care routine. The only negative result I encountered with this product was that it made my scalp dry when first using it (I noticed more skin flakes from my scalp the first 2 weeks I used this product), but fortunately that problem has since resolved. While I love this product overall, I have to say I don't love the apple scent. Luckily the fragrance is not overly offensive and fades quickly luckily, but the smell is very artificial and it reminds me of scented hand sanitizer. I would prefer a more neutral and natural sweet scent like honey or vanilla. Overall the pros outweigh the negatives big time with this conditioner, I am very pleased with the improvements I've seen in my hair and I plan to continue using this product. I look forward to trying other "Not Your Mother's" hair care products in the future!
