Never received so many compliments, EVER. I literally have used this almost everyday since getting it. I've had friends (multiple) text me after seeing a picture of me posted on social saying "omg you're hair looks SO good like that" and I've sent them the link and they've bought it. Every time I go out I get tonsss of compliments. It's a sophisticated, low maintenance way to spruce up your look without looking like you're trying too hard. I have naturally somewhat wavy hair but it isnt consistently wavy throughout so I've always straightened it. This crimper works wonders as long as you keep a few things in mind. Make sure to hold down the right side button until it says "locked" once you set it to the temperature you want as you will undoubtedly accidentally shut it off while using the clamp during stying. The on-off bottom is right near the clamp you press and when you're styling then back portions of your hair the buttons are so sensitive that as you use maneuver the wand it easily gets shut off. Also be careful of your neck and the angle of the barrels while doing the underportions of your hair on the sides as well as how high you you go near the roots as I've burned myself a couple times. The metal "kickstand" on the wand gets just as hot as the barrels so be careful when pushing it back flush to the wand. I suggest letting the wand warm up for about 15 minutes before use. For medium to long hair, use the wand moving from root to tip on each section of hair approximately the 2-3 times. Place hair in wand for 5 seconds or so and while holding that same section of hair unclamp the top and slide the wand down so that the bottom barrel on that section is now crimping again via the top barrel, hold that section in the clamp for another 5 seconds or so, unclamp and slide the wand down further to crimp the last portion, again aligning bottom barrels crimp indent with the top barrel again. Sounds like it takes a long time but I have med-long hair and not takes under 10 minutes (as a decent portion of hair fits into the wand clamp at a time, so even though you're crimping each section 2-3 times, it only takes about 2-4 sections to finish one whole side of your head (thin to normal hair, medium-long). The barrels should overlap sections of the same strip of hair as you crimp, so you're crimping each portion multiple times, moving from root to tip. Align each new portion of hair with the bottom barrel's indent so that you're clamping and crimping each strip of hair into 3rds, so the bottom of the wave is recrimped via the top barrel as you unclamp and slide wand again further down each strip of hair. The wand is bulky and big and I don't believe it has an auto shut off (if it does it takes HOURS) as I've forgotten to unplug and came back hours to see it still on. I would get a hear protection spray since the tool overlaps sections and exposed it twice to high level heat. Also - I use two sprays of the sea salt texture spray via lifting up a thin layer of hair right at my roots on either side of my middle part and use my fingers to scrunch in up a bit and it adds so much volume! The reason I know so much about how to maneuver it is because my hair dresser uses it and taught me! Lastly it stays in with no need for hair spray. You can wake up and use dry shampoo and it's still styled (may need to refresh one or two pieces tops). Also if you weren't blessed with thick hair and are jealous of the way other people's hair looks full up in a messy bum, you'll love your messy bun after using this tool.
Didn't work I just wanna say that I ordered this as an early Mother's Day gift for myself and I was really excited. It arrived and I went to turn it on and it would not turn on. I emailed the company many many times. I did receive ONE email back saying to send a video and pictures of the problem. So I did. NEVER got a response. I feel dumb because I wanted this so badly so I went ahead and ordered another one (hopefully that will work) and emailed the company many times saying I would just like a refund for the first one I bought but still NEVER got a response. Extremely disrespectful and rude of the company. I've heard so many good things about this company but after this experience will never buy from them again. Like they care. Just wanted to share my experience.
Powers off mid wave, every wave 1

This item does make waves when its on. However, it has a wiring issue defect that causes it to power off. I am not a careless wire wrapping manic when I put it away, so its most definitely defective. Used only 3 times.
Just what I wanted! 5

Im no stranger to waving irons. Ive had about four different ones over the last few years, and finally ordered this one to test! I originally heard of this one during the pandemic and almost got it, but opted for the Amika deep waver instead. Not only is the Amika brand triple the price, but though pretty, gave more of a deep crimpy wave, apposed to a soft beachy wave! This was really what I was hoping for. I think with wavers espcially hair type can really dictate what type of wave looks good! Ive only used this once so far, but I was impressed with not only the look but the ease of use, and price point! The only negative so far is my hand bumps the power button in use.
Harsh on hair and company deletes negative comments 4

This is heavy and a bit uncomfortable to use but can create a fun look. The quality is average. Will damage fine hair. There is nothing miraculous anout this brand, not as great as T3 or Ghd, but they have a lot of followers on their social media pages where they temove all negative comments
I do love this but that button placement… 4

I was so excited to try this! I used a "3 prong curling iron" (what we called in back in the late 90's-early 2000's) every single morning when getting ready for highschool. To the point my hair was completely fried by my Senior year and I never wanted to see another "3 prong" again. These weren't very popular back then. These days though, we have social media, which completely changes what we see and how things become popular. I have been wanting to try a large 3 barrel for awhile. And I didn't know this was a "viral" product until I googled it on YouTube to see if others liked it. Even though it seemed to have a lot of complaints, it was affordable and large barelled so it is what I got.
When I plugged it in and waited till it heat up, I picked it up and it turned off (showing the blue screen with the text "OFF") so I knew it was not an issue on my end. I tried a few more times. Same thing, would barely pick it up and Id hear a weird wiry noise coming from the tool then it shuts off. I contacted Ulta and they were amazing in helping me get another. (Ive only had to use Customer Service a few times in the last decade but they have always been amazing!) When I got the new one in the mail, it worked wonderfully. My only problem is (and I noticed this immediately so it wasnt the reason for the previous issue) but it is so easy to turn it off! At least now I can use it but I am able to turn this one back on with no issue so it gets the job done. It creates larger waves than the smaller ones which is exactly what I wanted! I do recommend but I would be mindful of the button placement. Its very poorly designed.
Easy to use! 4

I would say I'm not a person that like to do my hair. However, this one is easy to use and not take much of time to do it! I love how it turned out. Might need more time to get used to it because it feels kind of heavy :P
