Leaving a first impression review since this shampoo was a weird experience. First, this product contains sulfates and silicones. As someone who has tried to avoid both in shampoos, this was a surprisingly balanced shampoo. It cleansed the hair while adding softness, which is a major upside to this ...product. It cleanses without leaving the hair in a knotted mess. Leave the hair moisturized and manageable. This is probably one of the first shampoos I've tried that does so. For sensitive skin types -- I was fully expecting this to be an irritation disaster for the scalp. There was some irritation on the scalp while washing (no surprise--but it was minimal). This was unexpectedly much more of an irritant for the face and neck. It caused a reaction similar to previous encounters with AHAs/BHAs, which is why I'm pretty sure that's the culprit. The irritation did go away sometime after styling. But...if you are highly sensitive to AHAs/BHAs, use with caution. This is one of the only shampoos that has worked ok in terms of cleaning the hair and not causing unbearable scalp pain during use. Not sure how this will work out for sensitive skin long-term. It's too much of a hassle to use a shampoo that causes irritation on other skin areas and/or worry about scalp sensitivity. For sensitive-highly sensitive skin -- it can be a nightmare to find a regular-use shampoo that matches specific hair needs. I'd only recommend this if you've been on a long hair journey and hit a wall with every other shampoo you've tried. Also would recommend it to those who do not have scalp concerns and have no issue with sulfates/silicones.
