Q
Im switching my products to all cruelty free. Is pureology cruelty free???
Asked by Alex
Official Answer By Pureology - BE
Hi there! Thank you for reaching out about our Strength Cure Shampoo for Damaged Hair. Regarding Pureology, I'm happy to share some good news based on my web search! Yes, Pureology is considered a cruelty-free brand. Here's a detailed breakdown: No Animal Testing: Pureology has clearly stated that they do not test their products or ingredients on animals at any stage of development. This commitment extends to their suppliers and any third parties, ensuring no animal testing occurs on their behalf. No Sales in Mandated Testing Markets: The brand also confirms that they do not sell their products in countries where animal testing is legally required, such as mainland China, which has historically had such regulations. 100% Vegan: Beyond being cruelty-free, Pureology products are also 100% vegan. This means all their formulations are free from any animal-derived ingredients or by-products. PETA Certified: Pureology is officially certified as cruelty-free by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), which is a widely recognized certification for cruelty-free brands. It's worth noting a common point of discussion: Pureology's parent company is L'Oréal. While Pureology itself is cruelty-free and vegan, L'Oréal as a whole is not universally recognized as cruelty-free because some of its other brands may still conduct animal testing where required by law. However, if your focus is specifically on the Pureology brand, you can be confident in its cruelty-free and vegan status. Was this answer helpful to you

Not happy at all!!!!

After using Pureology Essential Repair shampoo, condition and split end correcting treatment for years, to have it replaced with Strength Cure was like a slap in the face! My stylist always called the split end correcting treatment "medicine for the hair" and she was right. Strength Cure didn't leav...

Loved the trial kit which then led me to purchase the next size of larger bottles of the shampoo, conditioner along with the 21 treatment spray. Wonderful products however the tops on the shampoo and conditioner are so hard to open it makes me not want to repurchase that is how bad they are, Quality Assurance & Packaging need to work on fixing this problem, makes you wonder didn't anyone try them out ?????

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

They changed the formula

Submitted 26 days ago

By K rob

From Tx

Ive been using pureology for over 10 years. Strength cure has done such a great job for so long. I noticed that it changed. Suddenly started making my hair feel dull, lacking movement, and dry. Come to find out they've changed the formula making it morr acidic. It is not nearly as good as it used to be, and unfortunately I'm having to switch hair products. It really dried my hair out and I have never had that problem. Really disappointing! Why do great products go downhill??? Just keep the quality and stop sacrificing it while charging high prices!
