Was looking forward to this product

"I received this product from Influenster and teatree in exchange for my honest review." I have previously used the Paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo and conditioner and it worked for me so as soon as I realized this was the bar version I was excited to try it. The packaging is recyclable and contains... zero packaging; it's a vegan product that has a 12 month life span. The actual bar is round and light mint color. I it says to rub the bar between your wet hands to make lather which one has to massage into hair and scalp which is how I used it. It made lather and I was able to wash my hair. I have long hair and it's a bit dry so I need to make sure it's conditioned well. I noticed that it wasn't enough to wash my hair with this shampoo. I need a good conditioner after because it almost feels like my hair is stripped of my natural oils. My hair felt very dry and hard instead of the softness I normally get after using my normal routine. I did a mask after to help out my hair but it still wasnt as smooth and shiny as my hair looks. I was a bit disappointed because as mentioned I've used tea tree shampoo before and it was fine on my hair. I felt the "tingle" of the shampoo and felt that my scalp felt refreshed but the outcome of my hair wasn't what I need. I like the scent of the bar. I had to pair this with a conditioner and a mask from a complete different company (every time I've used it I waited to see if the outcome was different but my hair really needed the conditioner and mask after). This may be a great bar for some but unfortunately it doesn't meet the needs of my hair. I have it the two stars because the company made a cruelty free, vegan product with zero plastic and it's recyclable so they are being conscious of our environment as well. The oils in this product (tea tree, lavender and peppermint ) are very good for the hair. I'm still giving this more of chance to see if I just need time doe my hair to adjust; if that's the case I will return to update my review.
