When I first embraced my balding head and shaved it all, I had a lot of people joke about not having to wash my hair anymore. If only that was true. In fact, it takes more care to not have hair than it does with a full mane. Not only do I have to keep my scalp fully moisturized and protected, but I have to keep it and all those little sprouts clean, too. This shampoo bar from @teatreehaircare is the perfect answer for us out there who's running out of hair. It works like a bar of soap that works into a nice lather. The tea tree and peppermint come strong, yet pleasant and (oddly) invigorating scent. It claims to tingle, and that claim is true. I was, honestly, skeptical about it, but it surprised me. It is exactly what I needed in my scalp routine.

My husband was suffering breakouts on his scalp constantly! He started using this shampoo bar and not a breakout in sight! He frequently wears a baseball hat,so his head gets sweaty. He says it feels so refreshing. He would also like to add that his scalp feels very clean with no buildup. Products were provided for review. But a truly great quality product!

Full disclosure: this is the first shampoo bar that I have ever used. I have 4C hair, and my hair is relaxed (permed). I didn't like that I had to use quite a bit in order to feel like I had enough shampoo for my hair. To me, it's much easier to use a regular shampoo bottle as opposed to a bar. I used this for multiple weeks in order to see how my hair would react to it, and it did not work with my hair. My hair is pretty thick, and it made my hair quite dry. I'm not sure if this is for all types of hair. I am a Black woman, and it did not work well. I still conditioned my hair after, but right after shampooing it just felt really dry, albeit it felt clean. I feel like this may work differently on non-ethnic hair. I am also just not a fan of having my shampoo as a bar.

This shampoo bar lathers quickly and rinsed out easily. What I don't care for is that I think it may strip my hair of moisture just a tad too much (even though I follow up with a conditioner). While I liked this shampoo bar well enough, I'm not sure I would buy it again.
