Powerful Cleansing Balm

I tried the Clinique Take the Day Off Charcoal Cleansing Balm. It claims to quickly dissolve long wearing eye and face makeup. It also claims to help detoxify, reduce excess oils, and unclog pores. You simply use your fingertips to massage on dry skina¹, then simply rinse off with warm water. It als...

It's okay

I personally do not really like this cleanser, it does it's job but it almost like there's a learning curve lol. It works but it feels messy. First off I don't like that the balm goes on pigmented and makes it look like your mascara is smudged lol it's very off putting and you have to reapply it a f...

Wanted to love this but it stains

I loved this product initially. It feels nice on my skin and takes off a day of heavy makeup! It unfortunately also stained my bathroom counter tops. I have scrubbed them repeatedly and am left with ugly purple stains. I also had on a Samsung watch with a cream band that is permanently stained as well. Very upsetting.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

A break up

I've been using this product for over a year and it has been fantastic. I have oily skin and this is the only balm I've found that works for me. I bought a new one a week ago and its not the same! I knew it was different the second I rubbed my hands together. It's really oily and very difficult to wash off completely. I used it every day to see how it affected my skin. Unfortunately it made me breakout terribly. Maybe I got a bad one? 🤷‍♀️ I will be returning it and I wont risk repurchasing in hopes it was a bad batch. Back to the drawing board😞

Good cleaning effect, horrible smell

I got this product as a sample. I have had good experiences with Clinique products in the past and in regards to how well it cleans off my makeup, it works well and it isn't drying. However, the product has this strong, awful rancid cooking oil smell.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

This is my favorite makeup remover, and I am not on my way to trying the one without charcoal. I love this product because it eliminated the need to use wipes or cotton pads and can be simply washed off with water
