Most Helpful Positive Review BEST LIP BALM OUT THERE 💕 WILL BUY AGAIN ❤️ SUCH. A. GREAT. LIP. BALM. PERIOD.
I never write reviews but I just WANTED to show appreciation and 'inform the public' that seriously this is the best lip balm I've ever tried and I've like TRIED THEM ALL: eos, nivea, o'keeffe's, Burt's Bees etc.. NONE of them ever got my lips soft. Maybe super temporarily, but THIS lip balm like 'story time': so winter KILLED my lips. Never had my lips been SO chapped, SO dry, like my lips even got a little bruised, and they were even stinging. I even was embarrassed of people standing too close to me -THAT'S how bad they were, and so I decided to give this one a try (cause I've tried practically every other darn brand) and WAS NO DISAPPOINTED. My lips healed within a few days from a REALLY bad state. This is a product, I'm definitely gonna use like forever. Lol. So yeah, for all those out there sick of buying chap sticks that DON'T WORK. Give this one a try. ❤️ P.S - Product also smells nice and the color tint Bonfire ain't bad either. ;)
Most Helpful Critical Review Too good to be true I really wanted to love this product. However, this particular lip balm drys the life out of my lips!! With all the heat and wind good ol' California has been having, the wind makes it worse. Once it's dry and settled into my lips, it feels tight and dehydrated. I have been testing this for a month now, so I have come to the conclusion that i dislike this product very much. The excess that gets into your mouth can be extremely sweet. I do not mind that, and it does smell great! Just not the product for me. There are better SPF lip balms out there. Sorry Sun Bum.

Don't waste your money 1
PAWW from Virginia
It comes off your lips almost IMMEDIATELY. I wasted my money. If I could return it, I would.
Disappointed 2
Tj from Florida
Sun Bum is great but this disappointed…the package said nothing about tinted but it made it look like it was tinted. Will return.
My new favorite SPF lip balm 5
Cynthia from Ventura, CA
I was hesitant to try it because I like the Aquaphor SPF lip balm and I've always gotten a better deal than this. However, I tried it and it quickly took the top spot on my favorites. It's so smooth, smells great and has no taste. Amazing! So worth the price. I will definitely get a couple when it goes on sale.
Too greasy 2
Nikki from USA
This lip balm is so greasy it gets into my mouth and it costs my throat. I like ChapStick better. Would not recommend.
Best lip balmWith sunscreen 5
Karen M from Portage Indiana
Greatest lip balm with sunscreen I have ever used. Moisturizing without feeling "waxy".
Burning Lips 2
ET from Sacramento, CA
My sister bought this and she recieved an allergic reaction of chap and swollen lips. I tried it, it was nice with Mango flavor. I do not have any allergies. Eventually I applied before bed. And I woke up with burning, dried, chapped lips. Again, I do not have any allergies so there is an ingredient that causes this irritation. Would not recommend.
Sunbum's other products are better 2
Tamara from St Paul, MN
I like Sunbum's non-SPF lip balm: it's one of my go-tos for locking in hydration. I also really like their sunscreen sticks. I purchased this one for some lip SPF, and it's kind of a miss. It's not hydrating, so it can only really be used in summer. Unfortunately, the formula also goes off and gets strange and runny quickly. I have about 3/4 of a tube left and I'll probably have to toss it. It has does have a slight chemical flavor, but no more than other chemical SPF balms.
I wanted to love it but... 2
Teala from New Hampshire
I needed an SPF yummy chapstick to try, and I thought this would fit the bill. But it is so drying I don't know what's wrong. It's more oily and doesn't soak into the lips. It tastes amazing and smells good, but I don't think I'll be using any again.
Great 5

I don't understand the bad reviews. I am on my third tube. I use it under liquid lipstick. I like the pineapple flavor.
Oily 1
Nikki Glass from Ohio
Goes on more like a lip oil than a chapstick. It is not hydrating at all, dries out my lips and I have to reapply it every 10 minutes. Better use as a cuticle hydrator honestly.
hit or miss 2
mel from Annapolis
Depending on the flavor the sunscreen can taste like a chemical. I really dislike the coconut one.
Tastes amazing 4
Kim from Washington
I love this lip balm.
Tossed it out 1
Coffee Snob from Albuquerque, NM
This does not have a chap stick texture. It is runny and gets in your mouth like other reviewers stated. Ultimately, I threw it out. What a let down!

This has become my second favorite lol product and I highly recommend it. It feels like silk on your lips..amazing.
Weird 2
Lib from Colorado
The only good thing is that this has SPF. It's a weird, thin, oily consistency that is NOT hydrating. I feel like it stays on my lips for 3 minutes and the whole time it tastes weird and dries my lips out. I'd recommend finding a different lip SPF
Best tasting SPF30 lip balm 5
DetroitGirl from Detroit
I use this product daily. I also use it under lipstick when going out. It glides on smooth and tastes great.
Nice lipgloss with 30 SPF 5
Marilyn from Fleetwood, PA
Use before I apply other lipsticks or color to lips.
Tastes so bad 2
Di from CA
I'm sure it works great at protecting your lips from the sun because the taste of the sunscreen gets in your mouth🤮 it slides around so much so i think that's why it's so easy to taste so I really don't recommend unless you want to taste sunscreen
Good 5
TM from New York
They have no color which is fine it's just a white stick and comes on as a lip oil which I don't mind it makes my lips glossy it has a strong taste (a good one) and I liked it
Don't Understand the Hate 5
Candy from Texas
This lip balm tastes so good!! It protects my lips and goes on so smooth! I bought the Lime flavor. Maybe the other flavors are bad but the one I tried is GREAT!! Give it a try and if you hate it, return it. Even my very picky husband likes it. I will buy it again.

I was excited to try this! But it literally tastes like sunscreen in your mouth. I hated it.
If i had to use it.. 2
Lyssa from Brigham Utah
Very nice scent and that's about it. The chapstick was so extremely drying and burned and made my lips feel sun burnt which is ironic. also is the worst thing to get in your mouth.
Banana scent is Lovely! 5
C from Maryland
Hydrating, sheer on the lips, and doesn't taste like sunscreen at all. I enjoy the banana scent it is more like confectioners banana with a hint of vanilla. I will purchase some other scents to try soon.
