Press the power icon button for 3-5 seconds so the tool starts heating up. Display will show the straightening comb is heating to the default temperature (370°F). Once the tool begins to heat up, the temperature lock will engage in 3-5 seconds (as shown by the lock icon on display and "LOC" when you move the dial in its locked state). Numerals will blink until heat setting is reached. To select a different temperature, rotate the dial clockwise and then immediately counterclockwise to disengage the temperature lock. Then choose your heat setting by turning the dial clockwise to increase temperature or counterclockwise to decrease. When done styling, hold the power icon button for 3-5 seconds to shut the tool off.
- Apply your L'ange heat protectant of choice.
- Select a manageable section of hair, 1"-1.5" in width.
- Using the comb on the underside of the section, begin near the root and glide at a slow pace down, pulling your hair as close to the base as possible to create tension.
- Depending on thickness and texture of your hair, an additional pass may be desired.
- Unplug Smooth-It and wait until completely cooled before storing away.

Works well for tidying up straight hair
I have very wavy hair, semi frizzy. Although it does straighten my hair, I had to go through with several passes to get it to feel soft. It does the job, but definitely not as good as a flat iron and because I had to do so many passes, it definitely took me a lot longer. That's not the reason for th...

Excellent straightener
Was a little hesitant to buy there was giid and bad reviews, well i LOVE this! Best straightener I've ever bought! The day after I use it all up have to is brush my hair and it's still straight! My others no! Id have to straighten my hair again!
Love it!
The brush heats very quickly and safely reaches down to the roots without risk of burning your skin. I use it to take puffiness out of my hair and its perfect for touchups. With a little practice im able to get a little curl at the ends.
Fantastic product
Compared to a flat iron it combs through hair when straightening and therefore works faster. It removes frizz, smoothens and creates shine. It was a surprise find. Love it.
