how do you get the wax to come up to the top?

very sleek! but leaves a thick layer on top of hair and takes 2-3 washes to remove. it does the job. packaging is pretty good, it does require a lot of maneuvering when applying and needs use of smoothing brush. smells great!!

My daughter has a lot of baby hair so I wanted a was stick to tame the hair and I stumbled across this Wax Slick Stick. It smells like flowers and does a good job holding the hair. It doesn't hold that long without having to reapply. Also had the hardest time getting the product to come out, really had to push the bottom hard. That was the only downfall.

*Not incentivized, real review* Very happy with this wax stick. Have been using it for a month now. Prior to it my slick bun solution was gel on dampened hair then finish with Tresemme strong hold hairspray. While that worked just fine, it left my hair crunchy and untouchable, and I found the hairspray scent too strong and overpowering. The Nexxus stick works perfectly, and at the end of the day I can still run my fingers through my hair, and it smells divine. The scent is a very soft, feminine, creamy rose, that lingers but is not overpowering at all. The finish of the hair is soft matte, unlike shiny with the gel+hairspray combo. For reference I have very thick, coarse, slightly textured (2b-2c) hair, very frizzy and that is blackish-brown. This wax stick tackles every flyaway like a champ, does not leave any residue/flakes/white cast. My otherwise lazy low maintenance bun do-s now look polished and perfect. I haven't tried any of the other brands but am very glad picked this one as it was the right pricepoint and from a known brand. Highly recommend. And for those who struggle with the white residue I recommend trying applying it on slightly damp hair, to help the product "melt" into the hair versus sit on top, and gently running the palm of your hand over it to help things smooth and seal down and remove any excess.
