Sheer product with potential

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I was excited to have picked purple w/o knowing it was Fenty because they'd done such a good job with a prior lighter purple blush they took away that I had high hopes for this product since I missed out last time. The bottle is a cute desig...n with a mixer ball within that is smart for ensuring product stays properly mixed. The applicator is a round sponge-like texture. There is no smell and the texture is a light and smooth liquid. The tone of the product appears darker in the bottle but once applied, it is significally lighter than it appears and is a kind of deep lilac on the skin. In the picture with dots, all three look the same even though each dot as you move to the right has one more dot of blush than the one before it. No real difference seen. It takes about five dots of blush to get the coverage you see in the pictures: I think the product fails there because it shouldn't take that much for color to finally show up where it can be seen and even then it's a light flush of color. With inside lighting it can barely be seen, but outside it shows up better. However, it is still very light on the skin. Proper primer and foundation is needed to possibly bring it out more and make it look more appealing on the skin as without it, the blush highlights skin texture and appears more as bruising than blush. It also wipes off easily with a tissue and altogether with a makeup remover wipe so setting spray is a must. It doesn't last long on the skin so reapplication is necessary if wearing more than an hour or two. This blush is not for people who enjoy a full face but even for those who love a minimal look or no makeup at all, while it is great for that crowd, it could stand a bit more tweaking to ensure it meets the worthiness of its potentially pricey price point.
