Serenity Smoothing Cream offers thermal protection with key ingredients such as Boabab that has a high dose of omega-3 fatty acids that support the hair's moisture barrier that protects the hair from heat styling, along with Mango Seed Butter and Frangipani. We do not claim thermal protection up to a certain temperature. This because our products prepare your hair to receive the heat instead of “protecting” it as this can often indicate ingredients that surround the hair shaft to keep the hair from being affected by heat. These ingredients can build up on your hair and cause other issues (weighed down, dullness, dryness, etc) Because we prepare the hair, as opposed to coating it for heat protection, there’s really no temperature that we can pinpoint as we keep the hair healthy so it won’t be affected by heat styling. I purchased this smoothing cream because I love the Innersence shampoos and conditioners. I usually use Dreamcoat, but I wanted a change. It does feel light in my hair and it doesn't smell bad…but compared to Dreamcoat, it doesn't have the staying power. I would have to redo my hair on the second da...

I purchased this smoothing cream because I love the Innersence shampoos and conditioners. I usually use Dreamcoat, but I wanted a change. It does feel light in my hair and it doesn't smell bad…but compared to Dreamcoat, it doesn't have the staying power. I would have to redo my hair on the second day and then put it up on the third day. With the other stuff, I can wear my hair down all three days and each day looks fresh. It's not bad, but it's just "meh" after using the other brand.

I didn't expect much because nothing seems to work well on my hair. I have hair that's mostly straight but it has a natural wave to it and it's frizzy. The Florida humidity makes it 100% worse. I was shocked at how well this product smoothed my hair out, I was so happy with the result I didn't even need to flat iron my hair. I was concerned at first when I smelled the product but once I put it on my hair it seemed odorless. I also found this project to be very light weight and a little bit goes a long way so I think the price tag is fair.
