I have gray hair and have used the purple for brown hair for years. I was looking for a more subtle look, this seemed like the ticket. I tried it for the recommended 15 minutes, nothing. The next time I tried it I left it on for an hour, nothing. Not even the tiniest hint of lavender. Bummed out.

My daughter has very light hair. We applied the conditioner on dry hair per the instructions. We left the color on about 30 minutes and it's tinted at best. Years ago I used this color on my brown hair and it worked like a charm so I'm not sure what happened here.

I bought the larger tubs of this until they sold out. This shade was the most natural boost for my red hair. Ginger isn't quite strong enough, maybe for highlights. Golden copper is on the pink side and Poppy (Extreme Orange) is more reddish, although it is highly pigmented and colors the darker areas of my hair best. I hope orange for brown isn't gone for good.
