Good

Recently, I've tried Biolage's SCALP SYNC Oil Balancing Serum, and truly, it's a remarkable scalp care product. This is more than just a review; it's my real-life experience: 1. **Effective Oil Control:** This serum genuinely helps control oil efficiently. My scalp becomes matte without drying out,...

As someone who has a decently oily scalp, I pretty much always have to use dry shampoo on second day hair. With this serum, I dont need it anymore! I can definitely go two days without dry shampoo and sometimes a third. Also, my roots feel super light and soft after using this product! As long as you don't use too much, you wont feel this product in your hair.

Biolage always seems to discontinue the very best products (bring back that bamboo!) so i hope they read this review and decide to keep it forever. I usually have to wash my hair everyday, in fact, if i have an event, ill wash my hair the day of because washing it overnight i will have oily hair when i wake up. I actually don't need dry shampoo anymore, and thank god bc my scalp would break out from all the dry shampoos so i ended up with powdered greasy hair.

This serum is great for oily scalps that get alot of dandruff because of the congestion. I use it on my son hes only 9 y i wash his hair with clarifying shampoo. Hes always had oily scalp and cradle cap. Even at age 7 he was still getting the cradle cap. This serum helped a bunch. I also use the scalp revive water on him occasionally and a good scalp brush. He can be sensitive ans hes never had a bad reaction from this. I think the reviews about it burning probably have irritated scalps or dermatitis of the scalp. It exfoliates so any irritation or inflammation of the scalp is going to have sensitivity to this product. We personally love it.

This was given as a set to test labeled as Scalp sync. The products are to be applied in the following order - purifying scalp concentrate (leave in for 15 minutes before rinsing), shampoo, conditioner (leave in about 3 minutes before rinsing), Oil balancing serum (to washed and towel dried hair). The shampoo and serum are aimed at oily hair. While the conditioner and concentrate are labeled as all scalp types. My scalp tends to be very oily and I can't usually skip daily shampooing, especially in the summer. First big WARNING these are all labeled with a sunburn. Which going into to summer is not something I want at all and already makes me hesitant about this product line. Second WARNING the concentrate and serum as labeled as flammable until dry. Not completely unusual for certain types of hair care products, but still something to be aware of. Now I started by testing the whole set as instructed. Normally for my hair to fully adjust and for me to understand if it works for my hair it takes about two to two and half weeks. So that is what I gave the whole system. Unfortunately for me it didn't seem to help at all with oiliness and it may of even made it worse. Now going into summer my hair is definitely more oily in general, but this was way worse than my regular shampoo. This plus the sunburn warnings would make me not recommend the product. I did also test for another two weeks just using the shampoo and conditioner, skipping the concentrate and the serum. My hair and scalp seemed to like that combo a lot better. Still not as good as my regular shampoo and conditioner but better than using all four products. So my scalp did not seem two like the concentrate and serum. Maybe these products were just an outlier for my hair and needed more time to work, but I doubt it. Scent wise, it is very mild. There is a slight floral tea smell, since they are labeled fermented tea. But it is no where near an overpowering smell and it fades quickly. They all apply easy and the shampoo and conditioner lather well with minimal amounts. The only other potential issue is that they may be a trigger for my psoriasis and I have since stopped using it them to try and pin point that. I mainly noticed outbreaks on my back where the shampoo and conditioner would most like touch and run off while washing my hair. This was the only new product I had introduced so it was most likely the cause but with how finicky it can be I will have to see how quickly it clears to know it if really was the cause.

This serum makes a big difference in the oil production of my hair. I see my hair gets greasy a lot less than before, and it doesn't feel sticky/heavy on my hair. You use it after you shower on towel-dried hair.
