You should see my scalp!

Bought this after many many months of struggling with my seborrhic dermatitis. I have tried everything even prescriptions and nothing helped. I had large itchy, red, bleeding scales on my scalp down to my neck and on the backs of my ears. It was painful and embarrassing. I saw this while browsing f...

This is fancy Head and Shoulders

You should know before you buy this that the active ingredient is the same as Head and Shoulders. Same ingredient, same potency. So if Head and Shoulders doesn't work for you, don't expect this to either. If H&S does work for you, you would probably be better off buying that at a fraction of the pri...

Great product

After using multiple dandruff shampoos I ended getting biolage after someone recommended it. I love it, it's the only thing that works for my hair. I have a very oil scalp, with buildup. Every other anti dandruff shampoo weighs my hair down and feels greasy even after drying it. I have to shampoo my hair twice and let this shampoo sit for a couple minutes, but my hair feels great afterwards with scalp sync. I can now go multiple days without washing my hair now instead of washing it every single day. I'm so happy I found something that works for my scalp and hair care.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

got this on sale from the jumbo sale being held. i used it for three weeks and realized I was getting the most insane bacne. ive NEVER had bacne in my life, but now I waa getting painful pimples on my upper back and anywhere my hair touched. im assuming this shampoo is comedigenic, as it's been about 3/4 weeks since I stopped using and no more new pimples on my back, and the ones there before are finally gone. this also made my hair extra greasy, even my boyfriend mentioned that. giving it 2 stats since it was able to take clear my dandruff. but that's it. theres better and cheaper products available out there. on to the next for me!

No Differentiation??

I had been using Biolage's Scalp Sync Calming Shampoo for several months as it was rhe only shampoo that actually improved my scalp condition. When my local Ulta did not have it in stock, I ordered a new bottle online, only to find while in the shower that the shampoo was white, not clear like it had been. Only when i looked closely did i realize that this was a completely different, medicated product, the only difference being the text on the bottle: "calming shampoo" (what i thought i was getting) vs "pyrithione zinc" (what i got). Otherwise, the bottles are IDENTICAL - color, product name, there is NO difference besides the tiny text. Why are they both called scalp sync?? Did biolage run out of colors?? Horrible package design, now im stuck with this product i do not want and have to buy a whole new bottle.

Battled horrible flaking for Years Before this

Okay, I know that everyone has different responses to anti-dandruff shampoos, but this changed the game for me. For the last 2 years I have been battling horrible, large flakes on my scalp (like bad…). I have no clue what caused it, but it was to the point where I thought I had tried everything, tar-based shampoos, salicyclic acid, you name it. I gave this a shot after it went on sale and I have been a month free of even a SINGLE flake. I am so impressed and will be repurchasing forever.

I have an oily scalp & dandruff and wanted something other than head and shoulders to treat both. This shampoo made my scalp itchy and created pimples. It probably helped with dandruff but I couldn't stand the itch so I threw it out.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Q
Are there any precautions? I read it causes photosensitivity. I would not want to use this shampoo if it causes that
Asked by Mimi

Hi there! Thank you for reaching out about Scalp Sync Anti-Drandruff Shampoo. Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) are found in a number of hair and skin cosmetic products, as they are known to help cleanse without stripping moisture. The US FDA advises that all cosmetic products containing AHAs that are topically applied to the skin have the potential to increase the skin’s sensitivity to sunlight and recommends very specific usage instructions on these types of products. Scalp Sync products are hair products that contain the AHA known as glycolic acid and are not intended for topical application to the skin. However, unintentional exposure of the skin may occur during regular use and that’s why the FDA’s recommended statements are included on the packaging for your understanding and awareness. Was this answer helpful to you
