Bought this kit and starting using as a result of increasing hair loss and breakage. Not sure? Old age? Menopause? All of the above. Have been happy with the results in seeing decreased breakage and new growth. Enjoying the shampoo and conditioner more than the added foam. The foam makes kind of a sticky, crunchy mess of the hair and was told by my hairdresser never to use prior to going for highlights as it can interfere and cause some unexpected color change (i.e., green). Will also say the peppermint scent is an eyeopener in the morning!

This makes my hair very soft. I can't say it has helped with hair growth and I have been using the conditioner and shampoo for years. I wish it would. On the upside; I recently saw my dermatologist for my yearly skin cancer check, and she thoroughly searches you from head to toe. She said my hair was extremely healthy.

I absolutely love this product for the intended purpose of thickening my hair, but holy cow, my hair is now like HAY. It is so incredibly dry, and I struggle to untangle it and had to order an Unbrush to even work through it all. The product really works for what people want to buy it for, but wow, my hair is truly the driest it has ever been. But if you want your hair THICK? This may work. Just be wary about overwashing and be sure to treat your hair, especially if you have long, color-treated hair like I do.

Reformulated—thinner product
Ive been using Nioxin shampoo and conditioner for advanced thinning/chemically treated hair for years. The new system's condition is such a disappointment. The consistentency is significantly thinner—like a watered-down version of the old formula. It used to be moisturizing enough for my color-treated & permed hair. This one leaves my hair feeling drier overall and my ends rough. Now, I have to follow up with a hair mask from mid shaft to ends. I will continue using the shampoo, but this conditioner is just such a let down.
