Spritz product onto exposed areas of your scalp 15 minutes prior to sun exposure. To achieve even coverage, part your hair into several sections, and massage product onto scalp. Reapply after 80 minutes of swimming and sweating, immediately after towel drying and at least every 2 hours.

Thinking of regular sunscreen it needs to be frequently reapplied. Is the same true for this? If so, how frequent is for daily use and not necessarily swimming?

After you have your base layer, it’s important to reapply your SPF at least every 2 hours, with one exception: if you’ve been swimming, sweating, or towel drying, you should reapply as soon as possible afterward since these activities can decrease the effectiveness of your sunscreen. Note that if you’re using a chemical sunscreen (as opposed to a mineral sunscreen) with non-mineral active ingredients like Avobenzone, Homosalate, Octisalate, or Octocrylene, it’s important to wait 15 minutes before more sun exposure to let the sunscreen absorb into your skin.Was this answer helpful to you

I thought that the coola scalp and hair mist sunscreen spray was the perfect way to protect my hair and scalp from the harsh Florida sun! It came in beautiful packaging (the prettiest beachy blue!) and misted smoothly. It was easy to apply an even coat all over. Obviously since it is sunscreen it's going to leave a bit of a greasy feeling and look to your hair, so this definitely isn't for you if you don't plan on washing or getting your hair wet. Because of this I wouldn't use this daily, only when I'm in direct sunlight for multiple hours. It is also scented very tropically, but has a strong smell of alcohol (which is expected of course because it's sunscreen). COOLA's Scalp & Hair Mist Organic Sunscreen SPF 30 is a lightweight scalp sunscreen for applying to my hair part and along my hairline. The product is water-resistant, which is great for the beach or the pool. The scent is a natural ocean salted sage scent that is light and fresh, but not for everyone. My hair can get oily very easily, especially in the summer, so I am mindful to not apply too much product to avoid extra greasiness.I am not sensitive to the sun, but if you are, I would recommend a hat for sun protection instead if you plan on spending hours in the sun. I'm wary that the product is effective without dousing your scalp with the product. Reapplying every 2 hours can also cause product buildup in your hair and won't look great. I received this product in exchange for my honest review and any opinions expressed are my own. I love the packaging of this product it is eye catching and a wonderful color. The spray bottle is easy to use and provides even coverage. I love that UV protection is offered for your hair and find that to be so innovative and unique. I love that the product is 70% organic and has both cica and monoi oil which is beneficial to the hair and scalp. The scent reminds me of sunscreen, but that is to be expected due to the nature of the product and isn't overpowering. Other benefits include that it is farm to face, antioxidant enriched, cruelty free (huge animal lover here!!), dermatologist tested, and vegan/gluten free. Coola's scalp and hair mist sunscreen is very impressive! The SPF 30 protection is essential, and the inclusion of cica and monoi oil makes it feel truly nourishing. The scent? I have been searching for something like the Coola scalp and hair sunscreen mist. I have a very fair skin tone and my scalp is much lighter. After moving to Texas I learned that it was possible to get a sunburn on exposed areas of your scalp such as your part. I try to wear hats or head coverings when possible but that it is not always possible so I have tried various ways of applying sunscreen to my part and hairline.Not anymore! I am apple to spray this along my scalp and even in my hair to protect it. The mist comes out quite evenly, and covers a generous area. After spraying my hair I do not find that it leaves it oily at all and makes my hair no harder to manage. It has a slight herbal/ocean scent that is called ocean salted sage that is a bit hard to place for me. It's not a super overpowering scent but is not necessarily my favorite.
