- Wash and dry your hair, comb your hair thoroughly (Other than heat protect-ant for hair, do not use any spray, styling agent or other inflammable chemical hair-care products), then wrap a towel around your neck to avoid possible skin scalding
- Press the "Power Button" once to switch on the appliance. Place the appliance on a flat, hard, heat resistant surface to heat. The appliance will work at 350℉/180℃ (defaulted)
- You will be able to see your temperature setting in the "LED Indicator". Press "+" or “_" to adjust the temperature according to different hair types
- Split the hair into strands evenly, grasp and take up, put the prepared hair strand into comb teeth starting from the hair root
- Slide from the hair root downward to the end of hair smoothly. Repeat the above actions till you obtain the straight hair you desire
- After straightening the hair, press the "Power" key again to turn off the appliance. After the straightened hair is ready, arrange the hair with comb properly.

Best Ever
I feel like the people rating this 1-star just aren't using it right. I have searched my entire life for something to straighten my thick, curly, frizzy, unmanageable hair. Flat irons are okay, but take a long time and never get right up to the root. With the Tymo Ring it gets right up to my roots, takes half the time, and leaves my hair silky and frizz-free every time. You kind of have to hook it under your hair and use it like you would use a round brush, and it will work great every time.
Recommend
No longer taking me over an hour to straighten my curly hair. Less time straightening, no damage to my ends, hair feels smooth and healthy.
Hair Will Not Grip My Hair to Make Contact with Heat
I have to pull my hair into the device and push the device in the opposite way to force contact between my hair and the device. The intended one-step brush and straighten is pointless for my hair because the device will not grab on to my hair, even if I place my hair in it. It also will not get close to my roots so I have to use another device for that. For me, the lack of grip on my hair is a dealbreaker.
Barely works
I have thick strands and curlyish hair so I was excited to try this but it was a disappointment. It took twice as long as straightening my hair and I had to do multiple passes on each section to get it straight and smooth. It ended up being a slightly messy blowout and too poofy for what I wanted. The second try I had to give up and just switch to my straightener. But I did like how it gave my roots more volume and was easier on my baby curls than a straightener is.
Works great for 3b hair
I received an Ulta gift card for Christmas and decided to try the TYMO Ring Plus, mostly because I kept seeing ads for it. I also picked up the Kenra Silkening Heat Protectant to use with it. I honestly didn't expect to be this impressed. For reference, I have 3B hair, and this straightener worked incredibly well. It smoothed and straightened my hair quickly, left it feeling soft, and didn't snag or pull. One thing I really liked is that I could actually touch the outside of the straightener while using it without burning my hand, which made it feel much safer and easier to use. Overall, it performed way better than my old straightener, to the point where I don't see myself using that one again. If you have curly hair and are considering the TYMO Ring Plus, I'd definitely recommend it.
