I'm such a vitamin C junkie. My esthetician training taught me that antioxidants, like vitamin C, aid your SPF to work better. I was immediately interested. when I first learned about the PÜR Beauty Topical C Peptide Moisturizer. I have tried so many vitamin C creams, and I'll admit that this one is really good. From the packaging to the texture, this cream is WINNING. I really enjoy the simplicity of the PÜR packaging. It's clean and straightforward yet looks sophisticated. The product itself has a very, very light warm citrusy scent. It's so light that I had to grab the jar again to ensure. The texture feels rich, but it's lightweight enough to drink into my skin. UGH, I love the texture. It feels rich without being too occlusive. It's highly moisturizing but beautiful enough to wear in hot and humid weather. Pur Beauty's Makeup Line is phenomenal and I wouldn't second guess a product but when it comes to their skincare, I'm now a little more hesitant. I love a good eye cream and everything about this one was beautiful - from the creamy, rich and silky texture to the gorgeous frosted packaging and thoughtful formulation. Unfortunately, this was not a product I'll be keeping in my routine nor buying again due to having an almost severe reaction. On Day 2 of incorporating this eye cream into my skincare routine is when it happened - my body reacted in hives! I didn't think that it would be the product at first, as I'm not someone who reacts easily and if at all. When I do - it's a quick purge of acne and then it goes away. I used it on Day 3 and stopped on Day 4 realizing my body was reacting to something. My eyes were horribly irritated, dry, red, swollen, and itchy. I was also using one of their Cleansers and Moisturizers in this line and everything reacted to my skin but not as bad as this eye cream. Even after stopping, my body was already in full force and it spread to my ears being swollen and my arms being covered in bumps as well as my face, neck, and collarbone. This was honestly one of the most painful experiences I've had with a product and it's ingredients. To make sure what it was, I tried using this again after starting to heal after 2 weeks and I noticed my eye area was breaking out again! I do also have to say there is too much fragrance for my liking - it gives a strong citrus scent which is overbearing for me. I wish this product worked well for me especially seeing it had some of my favorite ingredients for Anti Aging like peptides and for glowing skin like Vitamin C. I'll be giving these away to a friend who hopefully won't have the same problem. The pur eye cream has become one my third favorite eye cream it's such a lovely eye cream it's very light weight cream to me it kinda has this gel like texture to it which I do not mind at! It absorbs so well very hydrating and I have normal to dry skin. It a perfect eye cream for both morning and night skin routine,, wears nicely underneath make up it does not do nothing funny with breaking up products or anything, however the brightening claim is not what I was expecting I was wanting more brightening effect and as for the de puffing firming claim I can not comment on that so much as I do not have puffiness under my eyes or any type of sagging of the skin, which I'm sure if I had a concern regarding and needing a firming product I'm sure then it would show a much greater result. **This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.**
