Compact cases - prettt but not worth the hype
I wanted to like these compacts. But they are expensive have to buy for every type of compact product you may want/need. For example if you have 2 mineral foundation colors you like to swap between, a bronzer, a shimmer bronzer, etc. It all adds up. And they are heavier than if just came in cardbaor...

I wanted to like these compacts. But they are expensive have to buy for every type of compact product you may want/need. For example if you have 2 mineral foundation colors you like to swap between, a bronzer, a shimmer bronzer, etc. It all adds up. And they are heavier than if just came in cardbaord/plastic case -- adding to weight of a makeup bag. Not a huge problem. Also the mirror likes to pop out of my gold compact case and you can see that all they use to keep the mirror in place is double sided tape. I really enjoy Jane Iredale products. But I ended up leaving some of the refills in the cardboard they came in -- because it also has the descriptor name on the outside so I know what color or product i am grabbing. With the refillable compacts there is no way to tell if im grabbing a bronzer vs a foundation.

Compact is sleek. Foundation refill easily snaps in and stays put. I love the mineral foundation. Color in Radiance. Hypoallergenic and coverage for rosacea good and feels so good on skin. I would buy again.

Maybe it's just me, but I've had to replace these way too much over the last couple years. The hinge breaks very easily. Love the makeup, do not love the compact. I also miss the old one that included an applicator puff.
