Apply daily on cleansed face, eye area and neck. Smooth 4-5 drops of serum evenly in gentle massaging strokes until fully absorbed. For Retinol beginners, gradually phase into your skincare routine, working up to daily as tolerated. In the daytime, always protect skin with a Broad-Spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen or higher.
Precautions: You may experience mild redness, a warm, tingling sensation or flaking (skin exfoliation). These are normal, temporary indications that the product is working. If effects persist or cause discomfort, reduce the frequency of use until your skin adjusts, then revert to daily use as tolerated. In case of irritation, discontinue use. Avoid contact with eyes -- if it occurs, rinse well with water. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical assistance. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product. Contains retinol. If you are pregnant or considering pregnancy, consult your physician before use.

Nice but fragranced
I'm usually a big fan of Neutrogena products but as much as I like this rapid wrinkle repair retinol renewal serum I have to take stars off for the fragrance. I don't mind some fragrance in skincare but this is very perfumey. The serum itself has a nice medium light consistency and a smooth texture....

Neutrogena retinol renewal serum is a great way to introduce retinol to the skincare routine. This is really lightweight and mild retinol serum. As long as you follow the instructions and use SPF. I did have not a great experience with retinol before. Flaking, skin irritation. But this room works differently. It did not give me any uncomfortable feelings, yet I saw the results. I just turned 40 this year and one to use in retinol in my skincare more regularly. This serum improved the look of my pores and made skin more glowy. I'm really happy with this serum and will definitely be using it more.

It has a dispenser dropper to get the serum, I like this design rather than a tube or an open jar, so the serum won't be contaminated by fingers easily. After applying it for a week, my skin looks smoother and moisturized, as compared to retinol serum from other brand which dried my skin.

This was easy to dispense and apply. It isn't too strong for my skin which is nice, as some retinol can be drying when you use it. There is no noticeable scent, so I also like that about it. I will keep using it as retinol is a long game ingredient. The consistency is good, it's not too runny, and not to thick.

I've noticed subtle improvements in my skin since adding this serum to my routine. My fine lines are a little less pronounced and I'm curious to see how they continue to improve with use. The formula is very gentle and I didn't have any reactions to using it.

I trust Neutrogena for quality skin care so I was especially excited to try this retinol serum. I have used retinol before. This serum did not irritate my skin at all. I like the texture and consistency of the serum as well. It has a light pleasant scent.
