A hard pass

I have very fine, curly hair and unfortunately have been losing some of my hair to a combination of a medical condition and pandemic-related stress. I asked for this pillowcase as a gift because I read that using a silk pillowcase may help to prevent breakage and frizz; I figured the steep price tag... might be worth it if did help prevent further hair damage and loss. Spoiler alert: it didn't help. Not only does my hair seem about the same in terms of frizz and breakage, but it's a bit of an adjustment to sleep on. It is sort of weird and slippery. Even worse, it shows every single drool or sweat stain which is extra annoying as laundering it is a pain. I even opted for the darkest color (charcoal) in anticipation that stains could be a problem. The lack of zipper enclosure is the final nail in the coffin. In my opinion, and disappointingly, this product and brand is overhyped and overpriced, and not worth the steep price tag. There are other companies that have quality silk products that are much more reasonably priced, which in retrospect I wish I had opted for.
