#milkmakeupgiftedme #prsample Milk Makeup recently gifted me a free sample of their Pore Eclipse Matte Translucent Setting Powder. I saw two light shades and two dark. Of the darker shades pictured, I felt I was somewhere between the two, with one being slightly too light, but closer to my yellow un...dertone than the next one, which appeared a little too dark and much too red. I went with the lighter one and figured I'd use it strictly under my eyes if it didn't work it out. The matte black packaging looks nice and does attract fingerprints, but wipes off easily. Out of the gate, I liked the silky, finely milled texture of this powder. It picks up well with a brush and even better with a puff, though I prefer the lighter dusting a brush provides. When I first brush on the powder, it looks slightly too light, but blends seamlessly and almost melts into the skin. I expected an ashy or chalky finish, but even applied more heavily, I ended up with a stellar matte finish. Included in the photos are two heavy finger swatches with the one underneath blended out. I was happy and surprised by how well it blurs my pores, pimples, and pockmarks, even on days I just dust it on over primer to tamp down shine. On a couple sweltering days I did manage to melt it down to a satin finish, but it's never reverted to my usual oil slick. Breakdown around my nose usually starts 4-5 hours from application (I'm not one to blot or touch up) and I average about 4 hours using this powder, without a crusty grease pit on the side of my nose. It also holds steady on my dry, flake-prone areas, so no cake-face either. I'm very pleased with this powder and its overall performance. The fine, soft texture feels light and looks really smooth all day, including in my more problematic areas. It's definitely a new favorite and outperforms most of my stash. I recommend trying it, as it works well on both my dry and oily areas.
