Sweet Lip Kit with a Subtle Plump

The packaging arrived damaged, which is why I included a photo of the product still in the box. It is a bit disappointing because it's unprofessional. Thankfully, the actual products do not appear to be damaged or used, so it was okay for me to try it out. Kylie lip kits obviously aren't new, and ...the Candy K shade is reminiscent of the original shades thay were released in 2015. The newer aspect of this kit is that both the liner and the lip color are supposed to have a plumping effect. Starting with the liner, I would say there is definitely a plumping sensation. I could feel a slight tingle as I applied it, and it wasn't nearly as strong or uncomfortable as other plumping products I've tried. The liner is also very true to the matte description. It applies smoothly and easily, and I actually do like this shade, although I'm still undecided about how much I like it on myself. I left the liner on by itself for a minute or two to see if I could notice a difference in my lips. The tingling sensation became slightly stronger but there was no dramatic change in the appearance of my lips. I then applied the lip color. The tingling sensation kicked in immediately. The shade is lighter than the liner, but they work well together and create a nice combination. The formula applies smoothly and softly and dries down to a true matte finish. I also notice a subtle, clean, and slightly sweet scent that isn't overpowering, which I appreciate, especially for people who don't do well with heavily fragrances products. I left the product on for quite some time to test the plumping and matte wear. As it dries down, my lips felt drier. I felt the need for a moisturizer as the dryness was a bit uncomfortable. I think if you prefer more hydration you should add a hydrating gloss or lip product over it and under it. As for the plumping, the tingling sensation is still there even after you wash the product off, but there is no significant change in lip shape. The effect seems subtle or nonexistent. I also tested if it was transfer-proof. I don't think so because with a swipe of my finger for napkin it removed a significant amount of product. However there was still leftover color which is great for those who like a muted or stained look. Overall, I like the smooth application, matte finish, and the way the two shades work together. The plumping effect is subtle, and formula a bit drying. I personally don't think the price of this product is worth the purchase but it isn't bad so still 5/5.
