A great detangling option that also works on thicker hair

As someone who worked in beauty retail for more than seven years, I've tried a lot of haircare products. In fact I've tried a handful of Nature Lab Tokyo products before, and not all of them were scent wins for me and my sensitive nose. Fermented ingredients don't always smell pleasant to me. Howeve...r, I am happy to say that the scent of this mask was a win! Strongly fragranced florals aren't for me, but this lovely cherry blossom scent was nice and mild, this wasn't an over powering scent at all. If you've never used a product that smells of cherry blossom, I would say (at least with this product) that it resembles a soft or gentle rose scent even. Like I said not over powering in my opinion (or my mom's, and she has a sensitive nose too that doesn't always agree with mine or what is strong and what isn't. For us to agree was also impressive).I wanted to talk about my personal experience with the mask. My hair is thicker and thickening or volumizing products don't always work for me. However, I found that this one did! My hair held the waves really well when I styled my hair after a shower using this mask. And my hair wasn't frizzy when I used a hair dryer before styling (I don't use a heat method for the waves). I saw a difference in how full my hair looks, and if this still works for thicker hair, I can see it working well for others with thin hair.I usually apply masks from the ears down so I don't make my greasy roots more greasy, but this mask doubles as a scalp treatment with Rosemary (not all masks do, so I feel like that sets this apart). I did notice I had issues combing the product into my hair. I automatically comb conditioners and masks in so that it evenly coats my hair. However I went in with the comb too soon. The next time I used it, I noticed after the mask had properly sat on my hair for at least three to five minutes (instead of combing within seconds of application), the comb worked through my hair much easier. Plus the real test in my mind was after the mask was rinsed out, and I did not need a post shower conditioning cream or hair oil to comb out my hair. This mask did an amazing job at detangling, once I got the hang of how to properly use it. So that my tip to you, be patience, let it activate, and then you should be good to go!
