You really don't need multiple blades for a smooth shave

I've been thinking of getting rid of my standard plastic safety razor for a while now, so when this popped up on my Vine List, I immediately ordered it.I am really glad I did. Because you don't need a razor with 3, 4, or even 5 blades to get a smooth shave. You just need a SHARP blade and a proper l...

I do not recommend

I had a hard time putting in the blades. It's very complicated and the directions on the back of the box are useless. In the meantime, I sliced my finger in doing so. You also have to disassemble after each use to clean the razor out, putting your fingers at risk again in getting sliced by the blade...

I used this razor for the first time today and it was my first time using one of these single blade razors so i was extremely cautious because it already is quite intimidating with how easily it could cut you, i used no pressure and got one leg shaved and the second leg it gashed my calve horribly left an inch long gash and was absolutely horrid i woukd not recommend on any condition.

I was scared to use this because I thought I'd end up cutting myself. I didn't nick myself once on my first try, and I typically nick myself while shaving with normal multi-blade razors. Just be careful on your first try and put NO pressure, the weight of the razor does it all by itself. This gave me such a smooth shave and my skin feels less irritated.

i'm very sensitive to the lather pads on razors, so i decided to switch to this razor because it elimates hormone disrupting chemicals commonly found in the soap/lather bar on other razors. old razor: id have to go over the same spot multiple times, often resulting in irritation. this razor: got through the forest in 1-2 passes, if ya know what i mean. i also love the sustainability of having a well constructed handle that i only have to purchase blades for once in a while.

I had to get used to using this safety razor at first since I'd never used one before, but it was definitely worth the time spent learning. It gives such a smooth shave, and my skin feels really soft afterwards. I've got sensitive skin, and this razor doesn't irritate it at all, which is a huge bonus! I also love that the blades are recyclable, so it's more eco-friendly. The only downside is that it can get a bit slippery after a while, but overall, I'm really enjoying it.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

For your face too!

For those of us cursed with undesired thick facial hair, this razor will leave your skin buttery smooth and makeup-ready...but you need to use proper technique! You will definitely irritate and cut your skin if you don't use this razor correctly. Here's what I do for a close and comfortable shave: DO prep your skin and hair first. I shower first so that my hair is soft and raised. Shave immediately after showering, or in the shower. DO use a proper shaving product. I like Tree Hut shaving oils much better than the canned goop. DO an initial pass WITH the grain of the hair, then reapply your shave product, and do another pass ACROSS the grain, then reapply and carefully shave AGAINST the grain. If you're a beginner you may want to skip going against the grain for now! DO NOT apply pressure to the razor. Ever. you will cut yourself. Let the weight of the razor do the work. DO be mindful of the angle you are making between the razor and your skin. Approximately 30 degrees is recommended. DO follow up with an after-shave toner. DO exfoliate as needed to prevent in-grown hairs. And most importantly, DO understand that there is a learning curve here. There are a ton of wet-shaving tutorials online and a community of experts on Reddit who can help you. Stick with it!
