TL;DR: Buy it!

Initially, I was skeptical about how well this would work & if it would truly be painless, but I'm tired of buying razors & doing shower yoga to shave, so I decided to give it a shot. I'm fair-skinned and my hair is dark brown with reddish undertones, but my body hair doesn't seem to have the red un...dertone & is instead nearly jet black. I knew that if this device worked, then I definitely have a hair/skin combo that it would best work for. I will say, though, that the Ulike Air 10 does seem to have a wider range of skin colors that they claim it will work on than many other similar devices. (Side Note: Because of this, my melanated husband is curious to test it out in a low-visibility area to see what happens (for science). His skin color is somewhere between the medium brown & dark brown that's shown in the product guide, and his hair color is jet black. If I'm able to come back & update this review with results, I will.) The Ulike Air 10 has ended up being one of the BEST ~$250 I've ever spent & I cannot stop talking to my husband about how shockingly smooth my legs, armpits, and other areas are. I started using the device on July 11, so as of today (August 4), I've had 12 treatments (every other day since beginning), and it's worth noting that the guide recommends shaving everywhere before each treatment for best results. Before starting, my leg hair was already fine and kinda sparse, so I expected quick results there. My armpits would have coarse stubble/bumps 1 day after shaving, so I would typically shave daily or every other day to keep the annoying pricklies away. My bikini area can go from zero to national forest with a quickness & the hair is super coarse. After 2 or 3 treatments, I noticed the hair growing slower and it was more sparse, especially on my legs. By treatment 5 or 6, the results were even more noticeable; my legs had nearly stopped growing hair completely and barely needed to be shaved before the next treatment, my armpits could probably go closer to 4 or 5 days between shaves, and my bikini line probably could have done the same if not for the constant irritation from walking (the prickly feeling of new hair growth, not irritated skin from the device). By the 10th treatment, I was completely obsessed. My legs felt more smooth than ever before. Since a razor can only get so close without removing skin, I've always been able to feel a teensy bit of regrowth within a few hours of shaving anywhere. Not any more! I've felt zero regrowth on my legs and they're in a constant state of insane smoothness. After my 12th treatment, I caught myself rubbing my armpit and making my husband rub it too because I was absolutely mind-blown by the unreal level of smoothness that I had never felt there before. My bikini line is trailing slightly behind, but will likely catch up in the next 1 or 2 treatments. I have 5 more every other day treatments left, and then it stretches out to every 2-4 weeks (depending on hair growth). Again, if I'm able to come back & edit my review in a few weeks, I'll do so. In addition to my legs, armpits, and bikini area, I've also been consistently using it on my feet, toes, hands, fingers, around the outside of my areolas (not on the nipple/aerola itself), and on my chin to attack the 2 hormonal hairs that insist on existing. I've seen full results on all of these areas as well, they just aren't as drastic as the others since they already grew much slower anyway. I'll know how to really feel about the progress on these small areas once I can go a month or more without noticing any growth. As for the level of pain: treatments are 99% painless. Every once in a while, on the High or SHR settings, there might be a little sensation that feels like someone tweezed a hair. This has only really happened a couple times in my 12 treatments, and it's usually in a sensitive area (crease of my armpit, for example). It's more startling than painful when it happens because I just wasn't expecting it. The guide says to not use it over any tattoos. Listen to the guide! I thought nothing of it before handing the device to my husband and letting him go to town on my 2nd treatment. I have a tattoo right around the pubis/right hip area. I often forget that I even have this tattoo because it was one of those Friday the 13th "I just need someone to stab me a million times" tattoos that I don't care anything about. While going over the bikini area, he zapped right on the edge of the tattoo and holy shiitake mushrooms! It felt like someone took a brand new, freshly made rubber band, and snapped it on my skin. Lesson learned. Don't. Use. It. On. Tattoos. Warning: You WILL be shoving your now hairless body parts in your partner's personal bubble and making them feel. Repeatedly. For weeks/months.
