Cetaphil is usually good for gentle stuff, but an "oil to foam" wash for sensitive skin that promises to make my skin stronger and less dry? Sounded almost too perfect for my crazy skin. The first time I used it, I was really surprised. It starts out like a silky, thin oil, which feels amazing as you put it on your dry face. This is actually why I mostly use it at night. Since it's an oil, it's the only thing I've found that truly gets off all the sunscreen I put on every morning. Sunscreen is usually oil-based, so you need an oil-based product to really wash it away, and this cleanser does it perfectly. It just melts away all my makeup (even stubborn eye makeup!) and and the day's dirt without any rubbing or pulling. Then, when you add a little water, it changes into a soft, light foam. This change is super cool! Unlike other foamy washes that leave my skin feeling tight and dry like a desert, this one keeps my skin feeling comfy. When I rinsed it off, my face felt super clean, but not that "squeaky clean" feeling that usually means my skin is stripped and will get even oilier later. Instead, my skin felt really soft and hydrated. My cheeks, which are usually the first to feel dry, felt genuinely calm and good. And for my breakout-prone spots, there was no redness, no irritation, no feeling like my skin was under attack. This is a huge deal for anyone who gets pimples – a harsh face wash can often make things worse and cause more breakouts. After using it every night for a few weeks, I've seen some real positive changes. The "nourishing" part is definitely true. My skin just feels more balanced now.
