Not good for really thick hair and tight styles.
I bought this when I had really thick, long hair. Every time I tried to insert it into a bun or twist, the two ends of the pin would cross over each other in my hair (picture fingers crossed 🤞🏻). It's not too big, works great for fine hair
I am trying to avoid damaging my hair with hair ties so I grabbed this to try and holy cow it keeps my hair up ALL DAY with no need to repin it. I have very fine, straight hair. Have trouble keeping a pony tail in unless I tighten the band to the point of damage. Even the squiggly hair bands slip out. This is very rigid, but the curve keeps it from sticking out too far and the longer length actually makes it way easier to pick up hair and pull the fork through the other side. There is a small learning curve, but my hair skill is 3/10 (hair ties and bobby pins are OK, updos and hot tools BAD) and it only took me 4 tries to get it to stay up and maybe anothet 2 to really get it up nice.
