Ms. Lady Kee Loves "Black Girl Sunscreen!"

I absolutely Love All of BGS products. I love the SPF 50, because when applied it is very moisturizing which gives me a beautiful glow "NOT Shine," on my luscious skin. With my dermatology experience, the SPF means the amount of time the sunscreen protects the skin. So the SPF 50 lasts a little long...

Looks and feels good but too runny

I was very excited to try this product because It was sold out for almost 1 year so I was happy to finally be able to get it. The good thing is it does not leave a horrible gray hue on my skin but it is very runny and leaks a lot. This makes it impossible to throw in my purse and go so I can only us...

I was recommended this by an employee that said it will not leave a white cast and it's good for dry skin. Neither was true. You have to rub it in so much to get rid of the white cast and it absolutely dried my face out bad. Would not recommend.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

This is one of the best sunscreens that I've used in a long time. I really appreciate that's it's in a gel formula.

Bought this after enjoying the other Black Girl Sunscreen and wanting to try a hybrid. I was very disappointed using this and realizing it has a STRONG lavender odor and fragrance isnt mentioned on the front. I am breaking out and want a refund.

Lavender oil is hidden in ingredients. Horrible for people with allergies who are used to the other sunscreen.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Black Girl Sunscreen (Make It Hybrid)

Submitted 1 month ago

By Mimi

From Bronx NY

I used to use the Black Girl Sunscreen Kids Version but I realized I began to have some Peeling when I used it with my other skin care products. So I decided to switch to the Hybrid. It leaves a horrible white cast. And it causes my skin to have to some tiny bumps on my cheeks. I also noticed I was having more breakouts than normal. The texture is pretty good, but it will dry down Matte, & leave your skin oily as well. And it leaves your eyes with a stinging sensation.
