Messy, Watery and Broke Me Out!!!

I recently purchased the Black Girl Sunscreen SPF 50. I normally use the SPF 30, which I absolutely love. The SPF 50 is watery and an enormous amount of it comes out with just a little squeeze of the container. Additionally, it leaves that horrible white, ashy film that does not absorb well at a...

I absolutely love this product! It is the last item i use in my daily skin routine die the morning! The ONLY time ive had a white cast on my brown skin is when i didnt allow the other products to dry prior to application. My esthetician advised me start usng sunscreen bc of my uneven skin tone.. I've noticed a huge differnce and i ALWAYS wear my big sunglasses to protect my eyes from dark spots

Overhyped Sunscreen That Broke Me Out

Submitted 1 month ago

By Khadijah

From Delaware

I didn't like that this sunscreen still had a scent even though it's labeled unscented. While it doesn't leave a white cast (which is a plus), the fragrance caused a mild breakout. It feels overhyped and heavily marketed to Black women when there are better options out there.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Loose consistency

The product is similar to the other blackgirl sunscreen but not exactly. This sunscreen leaves a white cast that you have to kee rubbing it into your skin, the consistency is loose not solid like how the other one is, and with one little squeeze the lotion is all over the place

Amazing

Clears my skin, and dark spots every time. Also, don't put more than a dime sized amount in! A little of this product goes a long way, it'll feel greasy if you put more than needed, and will be harder to rub on.
