I do not understand how this product has gotten such good reviews. If you've ever worked with stage makeup, it has a similar feel to me. Its like a clown mask. This is going to be long so bear with me. First, I want to quickly address some issues one star reviewers have left. 1. Guys, I promise you it's either the prep or application that's making this foundation not work for you. 2. This foundation DOES NOT have clown makeup consistency. Have ya'll ever actually worked with clown makeup?? Now, let's get into the good things. I am a tinted moisturizer kinda gal. I have dry skin so tinted moisturizers have always been my go to. However, I needed something that was going to last me longer, stay in place, and have GOOD coverage for a wedding I was attending so I grabbed this during the most recent 21 days of beauty sale. I was nervous because it is a pricier product and many one star reviewers hated the consistency of this for their dry skin. BUT the 5 star reviews did convince me try it so I'm hoping to add to that with mine lol. This foundation is incredible. It is a stick foundation but the consistency is CREAMY not dry, thick, and cakey. When I say creamy, I mean when you swipe stick across your forehead, it leaves one full coverage line without skipping, and without having to press hard. For comparison, the Huda beauty stick foundation is dense, thick, tacky, and streaky when I swipe it on my face using the same prep I do for this foundation (Huda, love you girl, but that foundation is not it). For me, this is so much better than any liquid foundation I've tried in the past because with creamy products like this, you can build and blend with ease. The shade match for me was also PERFECT. For application, you need to treat it as a cream product. It is NOT a liquid and NOT a powder so you need to treat it differently!!! Make sure you double cleanse. I always recommend a light physical cleanser before a glam (or really any) look (I personally use the purple Tatcha rice cleanser). Then, you need a hydrating serum and hydrating moisturizer. Your face needs to be slick and glowy at this point. THEN, you go in with a tacky primer like the Milk hydrogrip one. THEN, you swipe this foundation on all over your face, use a flat brush to spread out into a thin layer, then blend, blend, blend with a damp sponge. This prep with this foundation is an absolute dream. The coverage, the buildability, longevity, ability to STAY IN PLACE when layering other cream and powder products is just chefs kiss. This is my new staple foundation for sure!
