After shampooing, thoroughly towel-dry hair to remove excess water. Brush out hair using a detangling brush or comb, and separate into large sections. Place The Half Shot underneath each section and work it gradually from roots to ends, until the section is dry and smooth. The Half Shot can also be used on dry hair to create a smooth, finished look. For defined curls and waves, use vertically throughout the hair. For volume at the roots, use horizontally at the crown.

Left my hair silky and shiny
I really liked how the this product worked! I've tried a few blow dry round brushes and this is my favorite by far. It left my hair shiny and silky with little to no frizz. It didn't feel like it was tugging on my hair at all, like other round blow dry brushes have.

The bane of my existence
I write this in anguish and agony, this product ruined my life. I'm a 17 year old girl and my hair is gone I thoroughly followed all instructions yet over the course of a few months all of my long luscious blonde hair was ripped from my scalp. I wouldn't wish this product on my worst enemy

Don't purchase if you have dry, frizzy, color treated hair
I bought the drybar half shot blow dry and curling brush because i love my drybar doubleshot and assumed this model would work just as well. Unfortunately, this one didnt measure up. I purchased it because my hair is shorter now and the double shot is a bit too big for some sections. Note, i have naturally dry and frizzy hair so smoothing technology is SUPER inportant. Sadly, this tool didnt smooth my hair well at all. I was up in the air about buying the hot tools black gold blow dryer brush thats the same size because i love my hot tools straightener. After i exchanged the drybar blow dryer/curler for the hot tools equivalent, i couldn't be happier, MUCH better at smoothing my hair. Save yourself $50 and go with hot tools.
Disappointment
I purchased this item two times due to the life span. My cheaper ones lasted longer than this brand. I do not recommend this brand.
Short hair necessity!
Larger dryers are cumbersome for short hair; this is perfect. Easy to handle with several heat and power setting.
Love this gadget
I have thicker curly shoulder lenth hair. I for over 20 years, I would blow out my hair with a round brush and a blower dyer. Someone mentioned a straightening tool that could do both. I initially picked up the full shot but it was too much. So i sized down to the half shot and it was perfect. I used for my daughter's blowout for graduation. And she decided she was taking it with her to college. Now i back to buy another one.
stopped working after 3 months
i used this perhaps 10 times. it will no longer turn on. i've tried the reset buttons. i've tried different outlets. it simply won't turn on anymore. do not buy this overpriced piece of junk
