welp.

uhm. okay, so I don't typically write reviews, and I usually ignore them(depends on the item obviously).. HOWEVER. I should have listened to these reviews. Right off the bat, smells like a glue stick, which is weird, but I'm able to ignore it because it's supposed to be brightening and feel great a...nd cooling, right? Welp, the "brightening" is a pretty strong blueish...greenish icy gold light shifting...glimmer? that builds the more you put on(more on that later)..that would look better as a highlight than anywhere near anyone's under eye. I'm a warm-toned(yellow under-tone) skin wearer therefore it just exaggerated any darkness under my eyes and just laid on top instead of absorbing into the skin. I'm currently pretty pale compared to normally or even naturally. Also, the shimmer/highlight doesn't last or stay AT ALL, especially if you put anything else over it. Like SUNSCREEN, wear your sunscreen peeps, nevermind any other skincare or makeup, and I don't wear foundation or concealer. I should mention that I don't have fine lines in my eye area so I don't know if it will settle in them therefore I can't speak on that, but with the way it acts...gonna guess a HARD maybe. okay. so.. got over the shimmer that looked like those old school thin frosty chapsticks the more you put on(OMG THAT'S WHAT IT REMIND ME OF) because it didn't last long and got over the smell because of the cooling and hydrating or whatever, right? Welp, one day realized that my eye area was really dry, especially the corners of my eyes and my eyeshadow/eye makeup was just not sitting right and didn't know what could have caused it. :) So, I put on more of this eye BALM, right? Using my big brain to figure this problem out. uhm. It just resulted in me looking and feeling like I smeared frosty Vick's on my eyes. Because one or two passes of the balm clearly wasn't working. Even using my ring finger to lightly put it on yielded the same results. Should state that I always pat it on after even if I directly press the balm to my skin. The cooling? As stated, just feels like menthol under my eyes that wan't beneficial at all. It doesn't reduce any puffiness, like I thought it would or was. Didn't wake me up in THAT sense. HOWEVER... It DID wake me up if I accidentally patted it close to my tear duct or corner of my eye which in turn made my eye water which in turn made my eye area feel slimy. yes. slimy. There's more to complain about like the fact that it dries quickly probably because of the amount of menthol in it and feels dry sticky(if that makes sense) even if you don't accidentally get it too close to your eye, but at the end of the day and overall, no and never again.
