Craving More Color

The promotional lexicon for this lip tint is a bit off from reality in my opinion. If I'm the brand or product manager launching this for PUR, here's what I'd revise in the marketing message: This product is a plumping glaze. Color placement is a mere hint and a secondary factor to consider for purc...hase. This is not a tint and not buildable, so don't buy it for the color payoff. Next, the wear is closer to a glaze than a gloss. It sits heavier on lips like a sugar glaze on a donut, so you must be good with that type of texture before buying and not expect the lightness or slip of an oil. Do buy this product for plumping if plumping is a primary benefit for you. Lips are immediately filled with a tingle that lasts approximately two hours after application before settling down – you can really feel it working. The hydration level is satisfying on dry lips as the glaze thickly coats and envelopes. The product works well under or over lip color but note it will diffuse color if worn over. Having picked up Hibiscus Spritz, I hoped the blush nude hue from the tube would transfer but no such result as, again, this is not a traditional lip tint. Lastly, it is challenging getting more than a tip's worth of product from the applicator at a time. That may intentionally be the recommended amount for application, however I feel the need to use more and the sparse pickup is a deficit in my book. Overall a nice plumping glaze by PUR but misrepresented as far as delivering color or having the properties of an oil tint. **This review was collected as part of a promotion.
