Q&A

Q
Can this work on 4c corse hair type? And can I use this for a silk press.
Asked by Shateara
Official Answer By CHI - Brand Engage
You can use this on all hair types and curl types, however based on your questions I would recommend our Lava flat irons as the heat stays consistent from roots to ends and will not take as many passes for thicker, coarser hair. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Does this have an ALCI (Appliance Leakage Circuit Interrupter) plug?
Asked by None
Official Answer By CHI - Brand Engage
Hi, we originally had the ALCI plugs on these tools but they were recently updated with the standard polarized plugs. There could be both types still available. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
What is the voltage for this hair iron? Will it work in the Philippines?
Asked by Dane
Official Answer By CHI - Brand Engage
Hello its 120V-240V. Since its dual voltage, it will work in the Philippines. When plugged our tools automatically adjust to the voltage, you would only need an adapter for the plugs. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
On the Chi flat irons with dual voltage how does the voltage selection work? Is there a button to select the actual voltage or does the iron automatically convert internally?

Damaged my hair

By Eraiz

From Las Vegas, NV

I really wanted to love this hair straightener. I owned it for about 2 years until little by little I noticed my beautiful long hair started braking off. It wasn't growing at all. Damaged my hair even if I used the low heat setting and heat spray.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

What a nightmare to buy a straightener! Too many choices. LOVE this straightener. Heats up fast, and cools down fast.

Pulls my hair, heats unevenly.

Submitted 2 years ago

By Be

From Tucson, AZ

My hair constantly gets caught in the iron and it pulls it out. It also heats unevenly and singes my baby hair but doesn't get hot enough to straighten the rest of my hair due to the hot/cold spots on the plates.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
