I usually buy pureology or redken products but wanted to change it up and try a different salon brand. This just does not cleanse hair well at all. I have an oily scalp with some damaged ends from hair dye. This probably works well for dry hair. If usually wash my hair every 2-3 days if I'm not sw...eaty (sometimes I wash daily and sometimes I can go around 5 days with dry shampoo in between). After using both shampoo and conditioner my hair looks and feels extra oily. I feel the shampoo is the culprit and maybe doesn't really cleanse the hair or bonds to hair oils making them stick to your hair instead of stripping off. If you have ever had something oily on your hands and washed them but you could still feel the oil - this is what happens to my hair. I've never had a product that did this. I can feel the oil while I'm still in the shower and I don't use conditioner on my roots. I used other brands when I traveled in December and January and my hair felt like it used to but as soon as I used Wella I went back to having greasy hair. I also used another shampoo with the conditioner and wasn't as oily as using the shampoo. It almost reminds me of a hair mask or like a pretreatment that needs shampooed after using instead of being shampoo. My stylist noticed it. My family commented my hair looked dirty when I had shampooed the night before. And previously I could go at least 2-3 days before having to use dry shampoo. My hair does feel heavier too but it also has some health to it. I have red dyed hair and the color loss is minimal or at least comparable to other salon colors - but red is always a color that washes out. However - I will say my son has the most amazing shiny smooth hair when he uses it. It's gorgeous but he needed a dandruff shampoo during the dry winter season so it's not worth buying huge bottles just for him (he's 11) when I have to supplement with other shampoo and also buy new ones for myself. Once this is gone I am going back to redken and pureology brands. If you have an interest try to find a trial size before having to commit to such a large product. This lasted significantly shorter than other comparable sizes too I'm not sure why if it's my kids or if I am using more to try to make it work.
