I have fine, shoulder length, straight-ish hair and was looking for a volumizing product that wasn't as sticky as mousse. Unfortunately this was worse. For a "weightless" product that's supposedly meant for fine hair, I found it did the opposite and weighed my hair down. I used it on clean hair and it left that unpleasant gluey/gummy feeling of when you have too much product in your hair. It honestly made my hair look and feel the same way it does when I haven't washed it in a few days and have used too much dry shampoo. Also not sure if I got a defective bottle, but the pump was difficult to use and didn't really dispense the product well - it came out very liquidy and not foamy at all. The pump itself didn't seem clogged and no amount of shaking made it foamier. I did try using it both with air drying and blow drying but didn't see a difference. Would not recommend this product unless you want your hair to look dirty and lank.

I have never been a person who has used mouse, gel, hairspray, etc. but I thought I would give this volumizer a try. I have long, fine hair and not as much volume now that I am in my 60s. This foam does add volume and helps maintain the waves I create by drying my hair in a twist. My hair looks best on day 1 after a shampoo. By day 2 there is less definition to go along with the volume. Not sure I am a convert to using a volumizer but this one I will use when I want my hair to have a little something something.
