Starting at the base of your lashes, wiggle wand back and forth while gently twirling the brush up from the base to the tip of your lashes. For best results, apply two coats.

LIKE IT...BUT NOT AS MUCH AS PRO...
I like the Expressionist Volumizing Mascara, but it can be more difficult than the Expressionist Pro Mascara. It tends to go on heavy, as you'd expect...but it also gets clumpy and then requires an eyelash brush to "clean it up". Coverage is good, but a little clumpy. After using the Pro Mascara ...

Would not buy again
Part of me wondered if I received an old bottle, as the mascara was so clumpy. I am not picky about mascara, but I would avoid this one.
Better Options Out There
I received this mascara as a deluxe sample and gave it a fair try. It was incredibly clumpy right upon opening, and while volumizing, did nothing for length, and I had to use a lash comb with each coat to prevent further clumping. I think there are less fussy formulas our there that are more worth your money. I also would advice anyone with fine eyelashes/lashes that struggle to hold a curl to avoid as well, as my lashes fell almost immediately.

The best thing about this mascara is it does not make my eyes burn! This mascara will thicken - the trick to this thick mascara (and ANY mascara) is when it starts to thicken - run the brush under water and pop it back in. Do this weekly! After applying, wait until lashes are dry and reapply about 5 more times after dry. You will get the thickest and longest lashes, and one tube will last triple the amount of time! Will definitely buy again.
