I loved this, but suddenly no refills!

I thought I had found my new day cream with spf — love the scent and texture, and goes well under makeup — but the amount of packaging is irresponsible. It's designed to enable refills, and the old darker red jar color used to have spf and refills. Now the darker red Essential Energy doesn't have spf but does have refills. This is super irritating and I'm so annoyed at Shiseido that I will begin my search AGAIN to find my go-to day cream. Hopefully from a brand that won't ditch a perfectly good product. And also doesn't make these hugely wasteful and non-recyclable containers.
