Great Tween Eyeliner!

I was really excited to try out the new NYX Epic Ink Liner Glitz metallic eyeliner for free in exchange for my honest review since I've been playing around with bright and colorful eyeshadow looks a lot more recently. It works well for a slight pop of color to everyday looks. I think it's best use...d to help enhance colorful looks that you want to avoid using a typical black eyeliner for. I was hoping for a stronger purple shade, but found the best use for this product was taking a blue or purple eyeshadow and enhancing it without making it look muddled, however the shine on its own isn't as strong as I anticipated based on the description. Overall I will still definitely use it and think that on its own it would be an excellent choice for a tween or more mature person who is just getting into experimenting with color and needs something a little more muted, but the color payoff was a bit more dull than I expected from the description and design of the packaging. I was expecting more of a pop of color and shine, but think it could be a good way to spice up a more desaturated grunge-meets-princess type look (think more minty green-blues and subtle pastel purples) when it comes to every day use. For me it lands a 3/5 stars since I think there is definitely a use case for it, and it has its place—but it fell a little short of the mark for me personally. I'm super glad I got to try out something new that deviates from the typical bold, black eyeliner look. And will be integrating it into my more colorful-but-still-conservative work looks.
