Great Coverage with some downsides

Been using doublewear for YEARS. I love that they have the refill as it is cheaper and less waste than the actual compact. I have never figured out how to get all of the product out of the edges of the compact which is disappointing because of how much it is. The coverage is far more superior than other products that I've recently tried. Was forced to venture out due to Estée Lauder changing the color of "pebble" without warning a couple shades darker. Why not just discontinue that shade? I tried another shade which is a fair substitute for now. Will keep trying different shades, maybe use bronzer? Still figuring it out. For my skin type.. I'm 50+ and have a good amount of sun damage that I'm always trying to hide.. NOTHING compares to this product. It makes my face look close to flawless.
Reformulated Estee Lauder Product

I have been buying the Double Wear Stay in Place Matte Powder Foundation for 15 years and recently found out that it has been reformulated. I purchased it recently and when I went to use it several days later I was shocked to see the much darker color and the powder was also different. It created a dust storm when I used the pad that came with it. It also happened when I used my powder brush. I returned it to the store and this is when they told me it had been reformulated! The lady at the counter tried every color on me and none of them looked right. My color was Pebble 3C2. I tried other stores that carry this powder foundation and they all had the new formulated powder. They said they have been receiving many complaints about this change. I was also told that the shades may "vary slightly". Well, they don't "vary slightly" they vary A LOT! I have tried other well known brands and can't find anything close to the old formula for this product. I am continuing my search to find something because I am desperate. I also called Estee Lauder Customer Service about this issue and they confirmed that the product has been reformulated. I don't know why in the world Estee Lauder would fix something that wasn't broken but they have lost a long time customer! The old formula was perfect!

Trying To Lose Customers?!!
I've been wearing this foundation for over 20 years, 3C2 Pebble was a perfect color match until the formula changed. My beloved Pebble is now WAY darker and grayish. I've spent hours online and in stores trying to find an equivalent color match in the new formula and finally gave up. You lost a loyal, long time buyer of this product and your Brand in general over what is likely profit driven changes on your part Estee Lauder.

I have been purchasing and wearing Estee Lauder for more than 20 years, always wearing Pebble or Dusk in both the liquid and powder Double Wear. I was shocked, to say the least, when I went to apply my most recent purchase of Double Wear Stay in Place Matte Powder Foundation. From reading responses to other recent reviews Estee Lauder is attributing it to "new innovation in Double Wear Stay-in-Place Matte Powder Foundation" and "that the shades may vary slightly from the previous formula" I will just say, the shade varies much more than "slightly." I am not certain if this "new innovation" has to do with the Double Wear Stay-in-Place Matte Powder Foundation Refill being sold out in so many shades but I was also originally disappointed in having to purchase another full size powder instead of being able to purchase a refill that would be less costly and mean less plastic to eventually end up in the landfill. I am hoping to be able to find the original Pebble shade still in a store near me
