Coola's Dew Good Illuminating Serum offers SPF 30 protection, which provides good coverage for daily use (I'd choose 50 or 70 for more sun-intensive activities, like a beach day). The sleek bottle is a beautiful pearlescent pink, and while the sunscreen seems thick and white when first dispensed, it blends out to a similar pearlescent sheen on my skin. It takes a little work to get it to absorb, but once it does, I don't notice a white cast on my skin tone. The sheen isn't glitter, but rather a fine frosted shimmer that looks radiant. The only downside is that it emphasizes the fine lines around my eyes slightly. The scent is a fresh, clean fragrance that reminds me of a spa — I get notes of cucumber and mint. I am one lucky girl that gets to enjoy beautiful sun year round in wonderful Southern California. Needless to say, I grew up knowing that I needed to protect my skin from the harms of UV rays to help minimize wrinkles and sun spots. I tend to use sunscreen that is matte and doesn't leave a white cast, but recently I have wanted a more bright glowy finish to my skin. On top of that I also need something that won't clog up my pores or make my skin oily. Coola Suncare Dew Good Illuminating Serum SPF 30 seemed like a good option for me because of its dewy glow and hydrating properties. The sunscreen is a smooth silky serum that goes on sheer, but leaves a beautiful skin glow. It has SPF 30, which is the minimum I use on my skin. I've tried many Coola products over the years, and the Coola Dew Good Illuminating Serum is just as amazing as the others. It's packaging iscute and looks more luxurious than the brand's other products.The serum itself is fantastic. It glides on well, leaving my skin with a beautiful, dewy glow that feels both hydrating and refreshing. I wore it under makeup, and I was pleasantly surprised that the glow still came through, giving my skin a natural, radiant look. It really helped enhance my complexion, making it appear fresh and luminous without looking too shiny. The texture is smooth and lightweight, so it didn't feel heavy or greasy on my skin at all.One thing to note: this serum contains sunscreen, so it's an excellent choice for sun protection. I'm a sucker for a good glowy, dewy, product. I feel like I've tried sooo many of them. A product that's natural, lightweight, non greasy, and isn't glittery. Leave it to Coola to not only perfect every aspect of this illuminating serum BUT they also made it spf 30! This looks so dreamy on my skin. It gives me that lit from within glow. This serum is multipurpose and can be used alone, or as a primer/base under makeup. If you like a no makeup/makeup look you'll love this. I seen other people saying it leaves a white cast but I didn't experience that but I also have a light complexion. It was easy to blend into the skin and absorbed quickly without leaving any oily/greasy feeling behind. It felt hydrating and didn't emphasize my texture or pores. I did take a star off just because for the price I feel like there should be more product. Although, a little bit does go a long way and I know a clean sunscreen formula costs a bit more to make. The scent is very light, I almost didn't notice it. The packaging is so pretty and iridescent and looks so cute on my vanity.
