I am very fair naturally, with an 8 month old and I live in Illinois where 1/2 of the year is winter. I don't have access to outside time to even attempt to get a natural tan safely with SPF and am obviously conscientious about Sun exposure. I'm new to self tan and after much research I knew gradual... self tan would be the best for me. I went to ulta and this was the only one they really had in stock that I had come across during my research so I bought it, along with drunk elephant bronze drops. This was a very affordable tan lotion (I won't comment on the drunk elephant drops lol). I went home, exfoliated, shaved, applied normal moisturizer to any rough patches and to any place I wanted this to blend well or come out less intense (my face.) waited about 15 mins and applied. Went to bed after it dried which took about 10-15 if being extra safe. The next morning, I was noticeably Tanner and glossier already. My skin was also so, so soft. I've done this 3 more times since then and I absolutely love the color. I'm not patchy or streaky and I promise my technique is probably absolutely amateur. I do not use a glove and have 0 build up around my fingers, no splotches on my elbows wrists or ankles. This tanning lotion builds so nicely and looks so natural. There's no residue or oily/heavy feeling after it dries. IM OBSESSED! I will say the smell is stronger than I wish it was but we all perceive those things differently and by no means will it prevent me from continuing to use it - my trick for that is to use a beach scented body spray and mixed together it just smells like summer to me. This is great for beginners and I will be working my way into the darker version at some point.
