New formula is awful

This used to be my go to gel. It gave me great definition, hold and didn't dry out my hair. Curlsmith changed the formula in early 2026 and the new formula is nothing like the previous one. It barely gives a cast, which would be okay if it had enough hold but it doesn't. My hair look okay (not great, just okay) for about one hour before it falls limp and just looks like weird slightly wavy strings. I'm so disappointed. This used to be such a great product.

I have colored,medium curl hair. This works great to give me the curls and bounce I was looking for. I use a leave in conditioner first. The the curl smith and then use a diffuser for a few minutes and I am done. Nice soft curls!
Why did you change the formula??
I have used this product for years. I recently had to purchase the new "branding" and I am so disappointed. I dont even think you can classify it as gel anymore, it is so watery. There is zero hold! No longer buying any of these products.
Why did they change it????
The old formula which was in a package with Orange labeling was the best product ever! It gave me beautiful curls that lasted for days and were soft to the touch. The new formula which has a blue label, is just not the same. No strong cast, dries my hair out, and my curls have unclumped and are frizzy in the first day. So disappointing!
