- Before styling, ensure hair is detangled and dry. For best results, section hair.
- Begin at a low heat (330°F) and adjust depending on your hair type and texture.
- Style with a loose grip. The flexing plates shape to gather your hair, so you can loosen your grip when styling, letting the machine do the work for you. Avoid gripping too hard which may cause snagging.
- Flexing plates allow you to style hair in fewer passes, so go slowly over sections. Styling speed may vary by hair type.
- For a smooth glide, try styling the roots and mid-lengths of hair first, and style the ends last so you can take larger sections of hair. This allows the flexing plates to fully gather the section of hair.
- To curl and wave, clamp the section of hair and rotate the iron one full turn (for curls) or half turn (for softer waves).

Resisted buying this for a long time, because I wasn't sure it would be worth the expense. My sister-in-law let me try hers during a recent family visit, and I was sold. Dried my hair in 2-3 minutes (usually a 10-15 minute job) and following up with styling tools was another 5 minutes. The styling tools were easy to use and made my hair look like I had a professional blow out. Bought my own dyson that same day. It's my new secret weapon. I love it.

This replaced my 8 year, beloved Dyson hair dryer who was faithful every morning until its motor died. I'm not as enamored by this new one I bought and I certainly am not enjoying the new straightening, awkward attachment. What happened to the smoothing nozzle?? That was the best and only attachment I used. I suppose change is hard, but I'm not overall ecstatic about this replacement.

Been using this hair dryer for about 2 weeks now. Love the magnetic attachments. Super quiet (relatively speaking, compared to other dryers), and easy to hold above my head for a length of time. The only issue I have is the long cord and trying to store it efficiently in the drawer I use, Ive tried wrapping it, bundling it, and now I just sort of create a pile and shove it in the drawer. The flyaway attachment does work, which I was dubious about. Overall, very happy. Hope it lasts the 12 years my Solano did!
