Apply generously to clean hair and distribute evenly. Leave for one to five minutes on wet hair for a sheer color effect, or 10 to 15 minutes on dry hair for an intense color effect. Rinse thoroughly.

For very long hair (mid-back) how much of the product to use? I used a hefty squeeze (maybe like 3 or 4 tablespoons) and let it sit for five minutes. Color looked great for two days but it all washed out the next time I washed my hair.

For an intense color effect: With gloves, fully saturate on dry hair and leave on for 10–15 minutes. Comb through for even distribution and best results. Rinse thoroughly. They are semi-permanent color masks that refresh and nourish and the color payoff is determined by starting hair color + porosity of strands. OMG this stuff really works!! I'm a very dark dark brunette almost black and have a stubborn red undertone. My stylist recommended I use a color conditioner to get rid of that. After doing research on which brand to use I went with this one. Not only does my hair look and feel like I just came out of the salon but it left my hair so shiny and soft and my red undertone is now more of a dark brown undertone. I will be repurchasing again and again. Just keep in mind when using it'll stain your shower & hands.
Surprising
The amount of color that came through is INSANE!! I have medium brown hair - got the copper and I am now a red head. My friend is dark brown and got the moon blue/black, her hair is now blue! I've only washed it once so I'm looking forward to it dying down a bit because she is vibrant.

You might as well sit at your desk and rip up money, because this does not work a lick.I have been coloring my hair for decades, and decided to try this in between colors (I use a Wella Demi Perm color every two weeks, religiously). I applied it per the directions--15 minutes on dry hair. It didn't do a thing. So I reapplied and left it on for over 30 minutes. Nothing. So back to Ulta it is going tomorrow. I think this stuff actually REMOVED hair color.
